After watching this presentation, i am going to stay with my mob and bucket method. I will save $400 also. Thanks for taking the time to do a great comparison test. You were very professional.
excellent vid... thank you ! you've convinced me to just stick w/vacuuming and using my swiffer. i'm done minutes...and my swiffer doesn't blow crap around... that really sunk in....just spread the crap all over. none of these things save time... and there's the cleanup. my cleanup is to remove the cleaning pad and put on a new one. maybe some day something will really work for us. i'm looking for a steam mop that has agitators on it. the one's that do have spinning pads are just water, not steam. and i sure don't need a vac... i just want a mop that cleans better than my own arm. thank you again...great vid.
Not sure what your are talking about here. Swiffer is not going to pick up all that mess he had on the floor, certainly not as quick as the machines did. It be pushing that stuff around and the egg shells would be a nightmare with Swiffer. You need an extra large box of Swiffer pads from Sam's before you were done with this job. Nothing blew around. Stuff was pushed, sure, not nearly as much as a Swiffer would push it around though. For normal cleaning, you still need a bunch of pads because you are pushing a dirty mop pad around. Swiffer is fine for touch ups, in between cleaning, but also leaves residue. I do like the smell of Swiffer though.
Thank you, it’s a very extreme test and just for fun, but I have a number of videos on this and the more basic one, personally I’d recommend the more basic one.
You convinced me that for big spills, a kitchen wipe works fine :) This machine may save time on large accessible areas, but those are a breeze anyway. What really eats into your time is cleaning underneath and behind furniture. Sometimes you even need a duster or an airgun. Aim for furniture that extends all the way down to the floor, or stuff that has plenty clearence. No small gaps. These machines also remind me of automated litter boxes. Not sure if that´s a good thing.
Great test buddy , I had the same issue with my test as I used mustard .I had to clean out the Tineco from mustard residue . I wasn’t surprised it struggled with the dried egg as it would get some marks off my bamboo flooring . But all in all fir daily cleaning and spill I like it
Yeah, after my initial videos and filming, I watched yours and saw. I wish the roll had some bristles of it like the Crosswave does, would definitely be of be if it to it, but to be honest I really thought it would be absolute rubbish with a big mess and I was mega surprised.
I love the Tineco! I just got it and think it is amazing! I used a spin mop first over all the floors and scrubbing. Then used the Tineco. The Tineco still had some black water in it. The self cleaning mode is amazing too. That stuck on stuff is a challenge, even if you are on your knees scrubbing. At least it wasn’t all nasty afterwards! I love that it is cordless as well. The Tineco also leaves the floor almost dry which is mportant on wood floors.I think you definitely put them to an extreme test!
A $20 floor squeegee and a $20 mop and you wouldn't have to go over it 55 times and then clean your machines lol I'm actually glad that I saw this because I just canceled the machine I bought on Amazon!
That’s the good thing about my reviews, you really get to see if it’s for you or just a faffing new gadget, a new broom always sweeps clean as they say.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it and just watched it as entertainment as it was intended. Thanks for your lovely comments Jose, it’s a please to have you in the HLux family. I look forward to all your comments my friend, wherever you are 🥰
i had a bissell crosswave and it only worked okay for like a month then after that it would hardly suck up anything. Then i had a hoover spin scrub for hard floors and it was better at picking up the water but after 5 months it basically fell apart. Today i just ordered the tineco s5 pro, hoping it will be the one
That’s such a shame about the cross wave, I still have mine and use it sometimes. I do hope the Tineco will serve you well as I still have mine and still use it nearly every day.
I would have though a mains power machine like the cross wave would have beat the Tineco by more. For me I would take the Tineco. Great job and also has the convenience of a cordless and that’s a big deal to me. It’s why I went with a Karcher FC3 over the FC5. Absolutely fantastic video and I appreciate all the work and hours put into that!!
@@HooverLux That's cool and I know you lost two of you furry friends last summer so I was wondering. My wife isn't big on watching vacuum videos but loves a kitty cameo.
how does it deal with dog hair + outdoor mix? Does the roller get tangled in hair if you don't pre vacuum the floor? My main concern is how does it deal with dog hair. I have ten of them beasts roaming inside and outside, exchanging all the shit and mess from outside with inside. I'm on my fourth regular V1 crosswave (1 water pump dead, 3 just cut off power after turning on) and they barelly carry the load i put open them with cleaning. I don't think those poor crosswaves were designed for abuse i put them through though. But despite that i don't trust the brand anymore and looking for alternatives.
I wouldn’t recommend any floor washer vac with that amount of dog hair, regardless of any brand, you’d definitely have to vacuum first before using a floor washer, it won’t last as long otherwise.
Thanks Alex, I preferred my shorter abridged version, but its so hard to make these videos quick as you know, we have to use them for a while to get a really good overview of the product, but I have to admit so far, I’m using it a lot more than my mop and the other crosswave, being cordless does make it so much easier, I know that sounds really lazy, but if I had a central vac for example, its like that.
Arent the crosswave bristles not really for hardwood floor? I thought bissell sells an actual hardwood brush and it has no hard bristles. Maybe fine on your floor types, but I bet it scratches some floor finishes. Cool video.. lot of time to make something like this
Yes, you’re absolutely correct, the ones with bristles are mainly for area rugs and uneven flooring like slate tiles or the like. To be honest all my flooring is tough so no issues, but it would have to be very very delicate flooring for it to damage it. 🤗
Hey Denver, thank you so much, I really don’t do these types of tests very often as the mess just drives me insane, I like the big fur mess tests because they’re not really that much hassle, just a like of fur. Thank you so much for your comment.

These machines are for maintaining your home and yes a luxury for most folks whom the majority of still use a Swiffer.
You absolute snowflake, did you not watch and listen to the first 5 minutes of the video clearly saying in English that this video is for entertainment purposes ONLY! Read descriptions on videos and pay attention to statements you absolute CWomble!
Easiest way to clean that mess up is the family dog, lap up edible stuff and just vacuum the plastic and confetti. Know your said this is your entertainment, but I have to be that person. You spent almost twice as much time cleaning the left side. Not sure why you struggled with the tineco, every video I watched, thinking of buying one, maneuvering was effortless. Seen some operate it with one finger. Also seems the cw is messier to clean up and harder to maneuver.
I enjoyed your testing, but really who’s going to throw egg shells and big blobs of jelly on the floor and expect it to come up? Not even a mop will do that. I understand it’s a vacuum in it, but I think people expect to much outta of a robotic mop. All the cross wave do was move the stuff around. I watched a few other videos and if you have long hair it gets wrapped up around the cross wave brush where it didn’t the tineco. As my grandma use to say you can’t have it all! Lol! One thing that just grossed me out was you pouring dirty water and nasty stuff off of your floor down your sink where you cook . 🤢🤮
As I say in the beginning, this is just for entertainment purposes only and not a real test, but some fun to see how it copes. The sink in the kitchen has a waste disposal unit that grinds the stuff into particles for easy cleaning up at the treatment plant, the sink gets bleached and cleaned every other day as it’s in constant use, so I don’t worry about that as I’m a fanatical cleaner, lol.
After watching this presentation, i am going to stay with my mob and bucket method. I will save $400 also.

The Tineco uses less water, neither leave streaks.
