LOL Not sure if your Tineco or Bissell videos were sponsored at all, but you left off a killer bombshell I'd love to know - comparison video. After re-watching this video, it's clear this is a lot closer to what I want, a steam vac that'll actually clean up messes vs pushing them around due to the front gate's inability to suck in larger particles. Dyson solved this by allowing for an adjustable sliding gate, but they don't have a steam vac yet... (maybe some of that is patented) In any case, keep up the great work! I hate the idea of using chemicals, like you I have a little one, so steam was my preference anytime I could use it. BTW, all devices with steamer function, if you can use filtered water (even a Brita), it'll drastically reduce the need to use any other products to remove any of the water build up. I've used filtered water in my coffee maker, hot water boiler, etc. and the amount of build up is next to nothing. Same thing goes for my steam cleaner. I'd do the same for this thing - it'll prolong the life of the product that much longer cause you won't have the caked on water buildup. However I’m really interested in the S5 Steam after watching your video. I realize that you can turn off the steam mode, but when you do this can you use floor cleaning solution as a regular vacmop? Or can you still only use water?
You have some very nice reviews. However you did not make the case for buying the steam version of this mop over the standard version. Why would steam be needed in the first place? Heat aids in cleaning speed and deep soil removal. The only area I could possibly see the need for steam is when a sticky soil has dried on the floor. Your tests only involved the standard wet messes that you normally demonstrate. Some messes are not discovered until they have dried on the floor and become sticky. All auto wet mops struggle with this type of mess taking multiple passes and even then can fail to completely clean the floor. It may be that the steam feature would help in this situation but we will never know.
I have purchased a non steam and now I have the steam Tineco and will never look back. I have hardwood floors and the way it dries after steaming made my case because it hasn’t damaged my hardwood floors and they are throughout my entire first floor. I hope you’ll give it a try.

Hi! I wouldn't recommend getting the s5 steam unless you intend to use the steam. Regarding for wood floors, if you have protected wood floors, it works for them. But if you have older floors, you might prefer to get a non steam model.
So I saw the bissell hydro steam review and I just want to know is there a vac mop youd recommend that does hard floor AND carpet. The bissell hydrosteam had a brushroll with integrated bristles for carpet as well. I dont see those on this tineco so im not sure how it would do on carpet

It will not compare to the suction power of the Dyson. I would look at the Tineco as a primary wet mop with the vacuum as a secondary option. The Dyson submarine attachment will not compare to the Tineco as a wet dry mop.

Pros for hf3 are it's bissell so warranty is easy, replacement parts are easy, the hf3 is a solid option especially for tile floor and very affordable. In the sub 250 wet dry mops, the hf3 and the shark Hydrovac are very similar and both work well. They will work better than a standard crosswave for tile only.

Do you mean regular vinyl like back in the day - older 50s/60s/70s construction, or are you talking about the newer luxury vinyl planks/tiles or even the vinyl rolls used in commercial flooring? I've been researching the latter options for my new floors, and as someone who's used steam mops on laminate floors and porcelain & ceramic tiles, I'd have no worries at all about steam. I mean, if you left the steamer in one spot for a long time maybe you'd add enough heat to cause some unwanted results. I suspect with most modern day manufactured flooring, the process of laminating the materials (we'd hope) is good enough that it'd probably take a while before you noticed any delamination. There's just way too many variables in here - including the adhesive used by the manufacturer to bind the layers together. Plus, if you're worried about the older style of laminate, I'd look into what glue they used to glue the floor down. Some vinyl installs require heat - so you might melt a glue, or even the vinyl product itself. I've yet to find a channel on RUclips that stress tests flooring besides maybe a soak test overnight to see if they can get the layers to peel from each other. You probably want to run a very small test patch somewhere first, see if anything peels away. @TheFrenchGlow's comment about heat being bad on vinyl is true, depending on your product, the intensity of the heat, and its concentration on the area where heat is being applied etc. Anecdotally, I used my commercial steam mop on cheap ($1-2/sqft) laminate flooring and I never saw any negative effects. We had some warping in our flooring, but we chalked that up to a leak and some pooling of water we couldn't dry out before it did its damage. Everywhere else on my floors that I steam cleaned were fantastic.
Hi! I have the both and the s5 steam is extremely powerful but it is corded and does not have as many features as the floor one s7. If you are going to use the s7 or s5 steam on mostly kitchen tile or bathroom areas, the s5 steam is a better value but the s7 is like a Mercedes s class.
It's a good vac but the annoying thing that it's stop working every minute for self clean,so if you have a big dirty area it will give you a very hard time to finish it.
It comes with a long warranty already + make sure your cc has extended warranty. I can't say you won't need a warranty because everyone has different preferences.

I have been using an Osim iEcologi steam vacuum cleaner for more than 15 years. This is very bulky but it literally sucks 😂 even on mattresses using the provided attachment, but it is no longer in production. I am thinking of getting the Tineco S5 Steam, but still keep the iEcologi to do the heavy steaming-vacuuming work.

Vacuuum mops are really not good for carpet. Even area rugs. Better to have separate dedicated carpet cleaner.

hi! Steam mode, it activates the steam and the brushes are spinning. Auto, the brushes are spinning but no steam.

It will scald you but if it's too hot the plastic body will melt
