Great review; watched a few times and got something different every time. Ended up going with S5 Steam to keep things simple/economical and avoid rechargeable battery failing.
But it has no edge cleaning for s5 steam unlike other s5 version hv one sided edge cleaning roll..😢 i prefer corded one, but edge cleaning is major factor too for me..still in doubt..😢
Hi, after 8 months of using the S5steam , how does it fair. What kind of problems are you having? I have 8 months old twins that are constantly making mess and I don’t want to encounter more problems with the machine like leaking, errors or water tank issues 😢.
@@emasseus1only prob I have is needing to clean brush roller or dirty tanks after less than 5 min of moderate use, but I think that can be remedied with replacing brush roller and filter mode frequently. Other than that corded is the way to go as I also have a cordless S3 that I hardly use now because it doesn't have enough power to power clean a house.
Me too the S5 corded is amazing... My only issue is that it leave a little water in tiles so when it dries you'll see the water mark but I guess I'd have to get another tool for buffing and shinning
I’d like to know the difference too. My bissel crosswave steam spinner quit spinning less than a year old. I have to send the thing back in my own box and who knows how long it will take to get fixed.
Tineco S5 Steam or Bissel Hidrosteam? It’s crucial for me to be corded and to ensure I’ll buy the best one because I live in Brazil and battery depletion is not an option for me. Thanks in advance for whoever can help me to decide 🇧🇷
I live in Argentina. I bought the prior crosswave. Was not a great experience. Dirty water reservoir is tiny and it leaves a lot of streaks. However, i wouldn't have cared for those. What made me never want to go back to the brand is that the head of the vacuum gave up 9 months in. The motor in there was unrepairable here in Argentina. I had always been cautious not to get the top of the head wet, cleaned avery cleanable part after every use, I even had bought replacement parts thinking it would last me a few years... Hope this helps you decide.
Just found you channel while doing research on wet dry vacs. You're fantastic with your features and presentation. So I subscribed to you channel and that is a first for me. I am a photographer but will start view your other RUclipss. That said all I want to do is go over porcelain tile floors to get the mop streaks off. What is the least expensive model to do that. i will only use this to go over clean floors and don't want to spend 300-700 dollars.
@HoudaMns I have emailed Tineco directly and confirmed that it is not possible. I bought an S7 Pro in the meantime, from their Amazon shop at a great deal, and I am very happy with it-worth every penny if you do not have a lot of carpets in the house.
Fantastic reviews man! How do you feel about the S7 Pro vs the Dreamtech H12 Pro? Also, who has the best brush roll cleaning in your opinion? I’m having a hard time deciding.
Hi! Thank you for watching. S7 pro is the better option but it is 2x the price. S7 pro has the best brush roll cleaning of ANY wet dry vac I have tried. Honestly, the s7 pro is like the best iphone pro max whole the dreametech H12 pro is like the best iphone pro. Both are good but some people prefer the best features and some prefer to save some cash.
I have the H12 Pro and the Dreame L10s Ultra Robot. Excellent devices after my Roborock Dyad Pro and Tineco S5 BOTH died after a couple of months use!! Probably unlucky as they are both good brands. Thankfully I've received a refund from the sellers! I much prefer the H12 Pro over the Dyad Pro. It seems more powerful and cleans my tile grout well whereas the roborock wasn't even getting them moist!! Also, self washing or manually cleaning the H12 Pro is FAR better. No dual roller system such as the Roborocks which was hard to clean manually. The Tineco S5 had no drying feature which was a big minus. Overall, I am exteremely satisfied with the H12 Pro. Huge value for money and performance is Top Notch
@@TheFrenchGlow thanks so much for the reply. Great to hear, that sounds like an apt analogy for sure…because it kinda feels like I’m picking between two superb products. I’ll give the S7 a closer look though.
@@NoExceptionsGuy ya, I have to say the H12 seems to have a fantastic self cleaning setup. I’ve heard it’s a bit louder, but seems to dry fairly fast and without too much drama. That’s very appealing. Great to hear your thoughts on the Dyad Pro, I’d been considering it but was growing a bit lukewarm on it since it since as you say, the rollers (while good) could use work. I’ll consider your words as well. Now I’m waiting for a sale again since I totally missed Christmas sales 🤦♂️
It's really too bad, they each have their advantage but also a deal breaker flaw... I think I will wait for next gen - S7 steam have steam + edge cleaning BUT really suck at picking large debris - S5 steam have steam + is good at picking large debris BUT don't clean the edges properly - S7 pro is good at picking large debris + edge cleaning BUT don't have steam if I had to choose I would pick the S7 pro, edge cleaning + picking large debris is more important than steam
I want steam too. Why cant the s7 pro just have steam. I dont care if its not cordless. S7 is good for quick on the go spot cleaning while s5 steam is good for deep cleaning but no edge cleaning is my biggest gripe right now
Hi! I just found your channel while trying to do some research on the S5 Steam and the S7 Steam. You seem to be very knowledgeable & trustworthy with your reviews. I had been trying for days to find the real differences between the two on my own before deciding to search YT. After reading 4-5 articles & going onto Tineco’s website, I have figured out that one is corded and one is cordless 😂. I will check your channel for other comparison videos of the two (to see if you have anymore), but I will go ahead and ask a couple of questions in the meantime. In your opinion, what are the real differences between the S5 Steam & S7 Steam (aside from the cord / battery power)? Does one get up closer to the wall to clean better than the other? Would you recommend a different model (without steam) than these two steam models? -I have a separate steam mop already so no biggie if so. In short, I’m just looking for something that will clean well & not take a whole day to do it due to a short battery life. These are pretty pricey, so it’s intimidating just incase they don’t last very long. Thank You so much for your time, it’s greatly appreciated & I appreciate you 😊.
Still didn't understand if steam versions are better or simple cleaning solution versions are better? I feel steam models need more time to clean as effectively as the models which need cleaning solution?
Create video, but I’m not sure why anyone would clean up these huge messes on the floor with this vacuum cleaner I use mine to clean the floors but never for a huge spell as it’s just another massive cleanup inside the ben
It seems that only the s7 steam required you to hand clean the oatmeal ahead of time, is that true or were the conditions for that test different (more oatmeal?)
The only reason why i am ready to pay extra for s7 right now is to edge to eadge and cordless. I thinks in 2024 this is must have features. Who need to buy s5 and then have extra work with cleaning yours edges? But still not sure about steam. I foud that hot water is very usefull to clean with no need of solution... So I think steam is very very important unless you say that 2 days old cofee of the floor we can easy clean with s7 pro. Help me please!
Intersting how the S5 Steam picked up that oatmeal, and the S7 couldn't. Also, the S5 Steam seems to have 2 Steam modes the S7 did not. Seems to me performance and price dictates the S5 a better overall machine.
I'm undecided between the S5 Steam and the S7 Pro. Considering price and performance, the S5 Steam seems to be the better choice. The only advantages of the S7 seem to be better edge cleaning and convenience. However I'll get better overall performance with the aforementioned model I just need to accept there is a cord. What do you say???
Was anyone even aware that there’s a s7 version that is not Pro (without the joystick control and LCD display)??!. I just ordered on Amazon Tineco Germany for the S7 pro and they sent me the lesser s7 series version. Very disappointed. But thanks to watching videos like this I knew the difference, cause the machine themselves don’t have any indication on them which model they are.
“To a data center in china” like… what do you think they are going to do with stats of you cleaning your house, don’t be paranoid y’all people think you are so important chinese gov want to watch you live stream lol
Lol, they don't actually need your wifi to get all your datas. you're not important to the world anyways, even if they do have it. Its worthless to them.

Thanks for showing what each sounds like and the cleaning process for each! 🎉🎉🎉 Most in depth comparison I have seen on the Tineco
I was confused. The S7 steam would not pick up the lumpy oatmeal, but the S5 steam would?
Can you compare the bissel hydrosteam against the S5 steam?
I’d like to know the difference too. My bissel crosswave steam spinner quit spinning less than a year old. I have to send the thing back in my own box and who knows how long it will take to get fixed.

Is S7Pro suitable for carpet as well? Which one is suitable for 2 in 1? Vacuum carpets and also wash the floor?
I want to know too

Can you do one with mach v1 steam vs the tineco stream s5 and s7? Seem like no video out there yet 💡

I think this is what I'm settling on. I'll get the s7 pro. Then surely the new s7 pro with steam will come out. 🤣
Steam is important for some people to not have to use nocive detergent
Won’t the steam warp most hard flooring?
@@MyFluXx Unless your wooden floor is thin like a paper sheet, no

Great comparison. Would you recommend the S5 Steam?
I would! I just received mine today and I am just in love!
What floors are you steaming? Everything I read online says you shouldn’t use aggressive steam on any wood or laminate surfaces

It seems that only the s7 steam required you to hand clean the oatmeal ahead of time, is that true or were the conditions for that test different (more oatmeal?)
I dont think your suppose to add cleaner to the steam versions, won't it hurt the machine ?
are you supposed to put detergent in the s5 steam? im looking to upgrade my first tineco to the s5 steam. it seems better than the s7 pro and steam?
My friend has the S5, she doesn't use detergent, although you can.

S5 steam corded is the best one overall.
But no edge cleaning though. Thats why im undecided between s5 steam and s7 pro
To pick up debris better on the s7 Steam you just have to slightly angle it backwards .
Great!
