thank you anrijs for making time to help other people! you helped me allot, keep up the good work! lot's of respect from me and i also think from al the other people that watches your videos!
Love your videos. Clear and easy to understand and you don't take forever to get to the point like some videos. Also, you are very easy on the eyes *blush*
Hey man can you make a video explaining your thought process on getting the right tones and shades on your portraits. And maybe about the movement of your hand while you shade? Thanks man love your art and videos. Lots of inspiration.
I love your art work Anrijs !! and your videos help me understand just how much goes on before a tatoo session , another great video dude cant wait to see more :-)
nice video thanks anrijs! do you check every cartridge with a eyeloop? and if so do you throw a lot of them away or is the quality control high standart for all brands?
Hi , Anrijs! I see you are using mainly round magnums. Do you use standard M1 magnums and if you do - what do you use them for ? Sometimes I really like the way curved magnums do the shading but still can't go on using only rounds. If you have time would you share some thoughts on curved vs m1 magnums? Thank you for your inspirational videos! They help alot!
hey. thank's , I don't use M1 at all, sometimes if I accidentally purchase some wrong needle box I will use some , but I prefer curved. will think about that video , thanks.
I'm not sure at all, just feel how you need, I don't have any opinion on the correct depth. shading will be softer, liner harder/deeper maybe in skin. . try and see what works for you , everyone work's differently .
Hi Anrijs, thank you for you videos! Which one do you prefer for lining? Classic or cartridges? And which rotary do you prefer for lining for both cartridges and classic stuff? Thank you very much for answer ;)
I like most of my machines , I don't have only 1 favourite only for lines , I do like direct drive rotaries for lining with standard needle. and I tell about it many times in mi other videos. almost each machine video I explain what I like and what I use it for and what I don't like.
sure , whenever works for you , I haven't used myself with coil, but I know lot of people do , and the work what they do is awesome. it can make machine life little shorter as you will need to use little higher volts to the standard needle. but I can't comment on this much as I haven't experimented myself.
Im a beginner have some coil machins but im going to buy a xion tattoo pen what cartridge needles do you recomend and what website do you buy your stuff ?? Thank you your videos are realy helpfull snd you should do a video about comparsing. What do you think about the magi bishop?
I personally jump back and forth between the 12 diameter long taper needles and the 10 diameter t tech shaders because sometimes the grey wash with 12s seem to not heal as light as the 10s. do you think needle diameter matters when it comes to saturation ?
Chris Ramirez it's kinda obvious that the thicker the needle the more saturation you will get. At the same time if your going for realism/surrealism grey wash 10 needles are better because they leave smaller dots on the skin producing a smoother shade to the eye.
heya Anrijs, I've bought the cartridges that you use for your everyday work as you mentioned. Setting them up correctly with an adjustable grip. how much of the cartridge needle should be exiting the cartridge into the skin. I don't want to be scratching or damaging my own or someone elses skin? im just practicing on pig skin. im just following recommendations from what i can see online. have you any tips? a humble thanks, Alex :-)
I don't have any tips , I do not make these videos as a tips. and I can't give individually lessons - how to for every single one of you. try yourself , what will work and what not. I think you should get some apprenticeship and learn it right way.
I liked 08 when I was using standard needles. but with cartridges they weren't making them anywhere really. only 10's and 12. So I used to work with 10 and 12 now. don't really see much difference anymore.
Hey, first of all great videos. Second, I am a beginner and I use a rotary with disposable cartridges and disposable tubes. What I'm not quite sure is, are there disposable plungers or do you use the same ones? Want to be certain about that before I jump on friends. Thx
you can autoclave them., but I think most of disposable cartridge tubes will come with disposable plunger attached too. just need to check other brands maybe if your one comes without.
Hello Anrijs, nice video. Would you please help me? I wonder if the cartridge needles are classified the same way the standard are. thank you for the attention!!
Hi Anrijs ! Can you explain how to do dilute ink for do nice and smooth shading ? Thank you so much for your videos, I am a beginner and it helps me a lot, You're a reference for me, so thank's
I don't dilute anything. video about ink, is on my channel too. check it out, hope it will answer some of your question's but if you're beginner try not to worry too much about how , but practice more and try to see for yourself what works for you. everyone does something different. you will be able to do nice soft shading only with few years of practice.
Alright! I watched all your videos, but I had already bought the XXXBlack and gray wash series of silverbackink and the lowest tone (XXX1) remains very dark that's why I thought I had to dill ... Thank's for your answer
I don't think anything is better, to each artist is their own. lot of artists uses only Flat magnums lot of artist round magnums. lot of artists using sound shaders and flat needles too. and creating outstanding portraits with any needle really. Depends on technique and what you feel works best for you. I prefer round magnums , I think they go softer in skin, I can do smoother transaction's with them and it works good for small textures too.
Hey Anrijs! Thanks for the information you're sharing! You're an amazing tattoo artist! I got a question; I'm an artist, I do mostly black and white, fine line work with ink and nib. Anrijs, on your liners are you using 10 or 12s? And also does the taper play any effect in your work? Thank you.
mostly I use 10's , 12 sometimes for liners. i haven't notice any difference between different tapers, to me all the same.
Please make long full process video from reference to final cleaning.
It would be sooo very helpful
Hey hey Anrijs, thank you so much for all your videos, they are great!! In your opinion, what is the correct needle depth?

I've never tried Magi, can't comment about it.
just check suppliers what you have in your country for all the machines and needles.
