Thank you for this! We want to start our family and I knew I would have complications. After a LEAP procedure, my undiagnosed/diagnosed EDS, and a family history I knew I would have complications. I'm nervous going forward, but information gives me courage. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge.
Without knowing I had hEDS, POTS, MCAS… I got pregnant at 20 and it was one rough pregnancy! My daughter kept trying to come early and at 24 weeks I was Dilated to 4 cm. I was put in bed rest till she decided to come at 36 weeks and 4 days. I was extremely sick the entire time and threw up all 9 months. I was in and out of being admitted to the hospital about 5 times. It can be done ladies, but it’s no walk in the park!
Very interesting to learn. I was diagnosed with Ehler-Danlos when I was a kid. I don't remeber what type though. My husband and I want to have a kid, but after listening to this, I'm thinking maybe adopting would be a better choice.
thank you for this. i am pregnant with my first baby. i have pots & hEDS..i was diagnosed when i was 17, i am now 21. i was passing out 2x a week til i was 17 weeks pregnant, i was okay until now, i passed out again at 29 weeks. the hospital also told me my body just isn’t retaining water so they’re wanting to have me get infusions every week to help with this. also through out my pregnancy, they have told me that my baby is measuring smaller for her gestation.
