Lol…thank you. Glad it helped. It’s handy to have the menu screen captured and handy. Sometimes when in the field you can accidentally change the program…easy to reset but it can ruin the day. Good luck and feel free to reach out w any questions. HH!
New to the hobby and just purchased this pinpointer. Your video was very helpful. I will now add it to my saved playlist for future reference as im bound to forget the setting 👍🏼
Great information!! I just brought one. That really helps me understand it. Also I'm thinking about the new XP Deus or the Equinox 800 ,I can't make up my mind. I have an old VX-3 spectar series from White ,its been great its just time for me to move to the better technology. I would like your opinion ? Thank You again ,very good infor.
John this depends on so many factors. Both are simultaneous multi frequency. The Deus ll is much lighter, wireless and more portable however it costs much more than a Nox 800. If anything, suggest you compare and contrast the Equinox 700/900 to the Deus as the older 600/800 Equinox series have build and leakage issues. Do you prefer to hunt primarily with tones or target IDs? Beach vs land? Need to first identify what’s most important for you. My go to machine at the moment is the Deus ll. Hands down.
Testing my Mi6 with a coin it appears the most sensitive area of the pointer is approximately 1 1/2” down from the tip? Using it side on rather than tip first can give a slightly extended search depth?
They are identical performance wise however only the MI-6 can wirelessly integrate/pair to an XP detector. Also the MI-6 has a feature called “research” that when paired to the XP detector, enables you to activate an audio signal on the pinpointer if the MI-6 is lost while in the field. Again, the MI-4 is the same when operating as a non paired, stand alone pinpointer. Thx for watching and commenting.
@@digginggopher it is an odd label. It is the name for a “locate” feature. If by chance you leave the pinpointer by your previous hole or mistakenly drop it, the “research” setting triggers an audible alarm so you can relocate the pinpointer. Research means to discover, gain information, learn, etc. makes some sense once you know its purpose. A very unique and cool feature.
Can you help please,my mi6 was paired to my deus then i removed mi6 so i can use it with my nox But poiner is not playing ball When i switch on i dont get the lights flashing either 3,2 or 1 and it only seems to work as i get very close to target I've unpaird it with remote control before hand Very frustrating... Any help would be most grateful
Are you in the U.S.? If so email me your phone number at thehistorydigger@gmail.com and a good time and I can walk you through it on the phone. Or I can try and give u some written guidance here. Sounds like you need to use the “cold menu” to simply turn on your light and use the “hot menu” with either program 2 or 3 which respectively offer medium/high sensitivity.
It does that when it’s plugged in and is fully charged but should not be blinking when it’s off and disconnected from a power source. Maybe try turning your light on/off from the cold menu and see if it resets itself.
Not really as you can just turn it on and go. The complexity and features are there if you want them. Thx for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
You can have the MI-6 sound off in your backphones or headphones and in the remote speaker. Easily done in settings on the remote. And, if you are having connection problems with the MI-6, It can be sent in for a circuit board replacement. That will totally fix the connection problem.
@@TheHistoryDigger1 after a year of extensive use and reparations... it chewed throug the material a bit to easy... the material of the is not that hard and easely sanded/ scraped of... so when you use it extensively.... its better to use electric tape, it protects the outershell of the mi-4/6 and you can replace it when needed (the plastic is made out of type of soft plastic that easely wears and tears)
@@shanehulburt5661 absolutely. It is more durable, enables more sensitivity levels, integrates w my detector and has more features, better sound than the carrot.
Thank You Again , I go back to this videos all the time to keep tuning my pointer, I guess you couls say it keeps me turned up too! Thanks again !!

Great to hear Anthony. Thx for letting me know. Happy hunting!
Great tips - very informative. I've had my MI-6 since 2017, and it's still going strong! IMO, it is the best pinpointer out there 😊👍

I wasn’t aware of that but I’ll check it out. Thanks.
Is the 4 the same pinpointer as the 6 other than the 6 having connectivity to the deus?

Great video had one for years still can’t remember the menu lol
Tell me about it!!😜👍

It does that when it’s plugged in and is fully charged but should not be blinking when it’s off and disconnected from a power source. Maybe try turning your light on/off from the cold menu and see if it resets itself.
Sounds kind of complex? I guess once you had it set it would not be to bad. Great video.

How can I get to louder ? I can barely here this sound.
Are you using paired or unpaired? Believe you can only change volume if paired w headphones and that’s done via the remote.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, but please....... use some electrical tape at the end of your mi-6 mi-4.... it will save you buying an new outercase 😅😅😅
Has yours failed? I’ve found mine to be holding up extremely well.
