All the bird things were amazing, such a wide variety, and some things I have never seen before for example the mealworm blocks. I love the Sunface wreath of birdseed that you purchased Nancy. Wow !! That store was huge !!!! That always amazes me and US citizen's must always think ; is this it ?? when they shop abroad. Those chicken tenders turned out great, sounded like a yummy recipe. My younger sister also didn't want to eat rice when she was little. And we are a Chinese Cantonese family, so you can imagine the struggle half of the week. My mom made fried rice with tiny chicken meatballls, because those were her favorite. Maybe give it a go and change the meatballs with cut up chicken strips since those are one of Craig's favorites. You guys are teaching me that bird watching is more fun than i could imagine before. The End ❤

We avoid downtown for most things. Parking there is too stressful. Joe has been doing a lot of shoveling and he’s also been able to use his smaller snowblower. Thankfully we have a wonderful neighbor who has helped out
Probably not for Iowa since freezing cold is common, but apparently the gov't near my brother in Seattle is saying take in your hummingbird feeders during the unusual cold because the birds get their tongues stuck and badly damaged! My aunt lives in Iowa City so I know it is amazingly cold in Iowa right now.

Pizza. That reminded me of Kmart when you could get pizza, I think it was Little Caesar’s. Oh my goodness… video rentals! I wish we still had them! Really nice selection of bird feeders! Joe loves his birds. Lunch looked delicious! I noticed cottage cheese on the menu, as a side. I never see that anymore, so neat! Do you have Amish type restaurants? It seems you went to the colonies and a few other places where it was local home style. I love seeing different regional foods. You live in a very nice area of the country! I love the mountains here, but I’ve been looking around for more affordable areas that aren’t so touristy. What’s the thing one should look for in your area? I guess you have the occasional tornado. Id want to be more rural, but I imagine most farmland areas have gone up in price. It’s overwhelming when I start looking at areas of the country. So many variables. The snow was so pretty. ❄️

I always loved getting pizza at Kmart growing up! We had a store named Pamida in Knoxville. They had a snack bar with pizza that I always had to get when we went there. We don’t have any Amish restaurants close by that I know of but we would love to find one. In Iowa we do have a tornado season. Some years are worse than others and some areas seem more prone to them. There was one about 5 miles from us the first year that we lived in Des Moines. It caused a lot of damage but no one was hurt thankfully. Of course we can also have snowy winters and cold for a few months. Otherwise I can’t think of any other drawbacks. Housing prices are ridiculous though. I’m hoping they will come down one of these days when Bennett and Haley are ready to buy a house.

In Iowa we do have a tornado season. Some years are worse than others and some areas seem more prone to them. There was one about 5 miles from us the first year that we lived in Des Moines. It caused a lot of damage but no one was hurt thankfully.
Of course we can also have snowy winters and cold for a few months. Otherwise I can’t think of any other drawbacks. Housing prices are ridiculous though. I’m hoping they will come down one of these days when Bennett and Haley are ready to buy a house.
