Pat McAfee makes ESPN money. Norby clearly doesn't. I suspect Norby said it is me or him and Magnus sided with the winning team.
If he was there almost 40 years, he has a vision for the organization. With the DEI and wokifying of ESPN, was he for or against it? It'll be interesting to see if the organization goes of the rails faster now.
Pat is the most powerful man in sports media. He has surpassed SAS and become the man with the most influence not bad for a small RUclips show. They are fully swearing all 3 hours on the show now also.
He is not the most powerful man in sports media by any means, and he hasn’t surpassed SAS. And the reason for that is Pat doesn’t pretend to know or care about things like other guys do.
He’s certainly one of the most influential in the football space, he cares about hockey too, but he rarely covers basketball or baseball unless it’s the championship on the line.
SAS still covers all sports thoroughly. So, basketball and baseball players care about what SAS says about him and ignore Pat because he doesn’t even cover their sport.

UFC and golf don't draw more people than basketball. Not even close. Viewership went down for the NBA and they're still 500k viewers per game ahead of the UFC. Golf is even further. And don't even start with the 1 demographic thing. Only 1 demographic watches golf or UFC. @@vernonhowell4070
