My favourite episode of Haruhi. Even though it’s nothing too special it’s just so cozy idk. This ending is so heartwarming as well. I think as the chronological ending for melancholy it’s perfect.
@@Tirfing88 Season two is the prequel of season one I dont remember the right timeline, but i know that episode 2 of season 1 is the very beginning of the story, This episode (14 of season 1) is the penultimate episode of the timeline and the movie the disappereane of haruhi suzumiya is the end, or the final "Episode". Except the following light novels the dissociation of haruhi suzumiya and the suprise of haruhi suzumiya and the melancholy of yuki nagato is also a thing that actually happened
I don't disagree, and I love that it is anime-original. But somehow I have a feeling this would've been done very differently if it were also the final broadcast episode besides the final chronological episode (excluding disappearance Haruhi, disappearance Nagato, melancholy haruhi-chan etc) I think the very different one could've been a lot better. Idk. But eh maybe someday in the rain chronologically could be viewed as like an epilogue to the precious 27 chronological episodes. Hence, not much need to do an epilogue better.
1:06 Who does this other one belong to? That one belongs to Yuki Nagato. For the duration of the episode, Mikuru put on a pink scarf on Kyon, Tsuruya a handkerchief, Haruhi the other cardigan. Kyon has received the affection of four girls.
I want to know what happens right before he wakes up as she has such a dramatic reaction. I have a feeling it was because she was caught staring at him. Or maybe something more... This is indeed a very cute moment in the series though.
Episode 28 always felt sought of surreal to me. Most reviews of Haruhi Suzumiya always ranked this episode as being a boring or underwhelming ending to the show, citing it as a reason to watch the broadcast order over the chronological order. I can see why some people may not like it, especially since it stands in contrast to more outstanding episodes like 6 or 26, though this episode has an appeal in its own way. Personally, I find the tone to be extremely laid-back and comfy, which is a nice relief from the more dramatic episodes like 23. Because of that, this was and still is my favorite episode.
2006 ends in the closed space episode where Haruhi and Kyon did something 2009 ends with this The Movie picks up from the last episode of 2009 and ends with things back to normal I haven't watched the spin off yet (The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato), but it's about Yuki winning the affection of Kyon Someday in the rain, we will get a season 2 and some closure.

This scene, to me, is the perfect end for the series.
Half-Hazard this is supposedly the end of the whoooole Haruhi story right? including movies and season 2
movie is a sequel
Henry Chavez movie is the end, this is just the series' end.

Yeah, probably Kyon didn't get Haruhi's thanks, but he got something very cute and beautiful: her affection.
The best Life-goes-on ending ever.
what u mean by "life-goes-on ending"'?

That one belongs to Yuki Nagato. For the duration of the episode, Mikuru put on a pink scarf on Kyon, Tsuruya a handkerchief, Haruhi the other cardigan. Kyon has received the affection of four girls.
but we all know tsuruya is the best girl.
I remember this being one of the first anime I ever watched. Way back when I could watch an entire anime series on RUclips.

Haruhi running with the umbrella so Kyon would get wet, then inviting him in a love hotel to "dry" up his clothes.
Haruhi is #1 girl
Yuki is #1

It's a perfect lead into the Disappearance movie, with Kyon experiencing a similar mature kind of melancholy at the start
