Here's my take on this, why she was so mad at Kyon. It is exactly what she said, it can't be that easy. You see, Haruhi is not interested with supernatural just because she likes them, but because she likes figuring things that are out of the ordinary. In short, she loves the adventure, the mystery, and whatnot. She especially loved doing the activities with Kyon. That's why when Kyon decided to mention that these things are real she felt that Kyon wants to stop their adventure and be done with proving the supernatural. In short, she felt that Kyon is done with her. So obviously she got mad because she is madly in love with him basically.

One thing why Haruhi didn't believe him or atleast tried to was because how half-bake his explanation was. And it looks like Haruhi is more of a "to see is to believe" rather than just suddenly telling her.
In Disappearance arc, Haruhi (Post-Nagato incident) does believe Kyon when he told her the truth, and that was only due to Kyon telling her about their Tanabata incident three years ago, and the name "John Smith". I felt like she didn't quite believe Kyon here because, no one in their right mind would believe in such a half-assed story with absolutely nothing to back it up.
Kyon if you really wanted to tell her the truth, then all you to say was "John Smith" I mean seriously why do you even bother doing it the normal way xD

George Faustino Yeah there's content for at least 2 seasons (12 chapters each) and a movie but the thing is, I prefer they don't animate them since the novels are well written. I saw the anime a while ago and I decided to read the series from the beginning and I did prefer the novels over the anime.

Exactly why there's no season 3 is up for debate, some people say it's because of Endless Eight, some people say KyoAni isn't interested in the franchise anymore... I'm one of the people who thinks it's because Tanigawa hasn't released a single light novel since 2011, and Kadokawa isn't going to give the okay to promote a dead series. Regardless, the Nagato spinoff renewed my hope for a S3, even if it is still a small hope. I'd love to see Snowy Mountain Syndrome animated as an OVA or something, at least, and I believe that KyoAni would be willing to pick up the show again should the main storyline continue. My basis for this assumption is that one of the official promotional pictures for Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid had a Haruhi reference.
season 3 soon i'm sure of it cause they made new visual art of it for a baseball match i mean why would they do that the last book is from 2020 and the movie 12 years ago and they said there is going to be a "message" they also got 2 voice actors to be on the match i mean i won't get my hopes that up but i want to believe that it's going to be a third season or a movie or even a new novel (in the worst case)
The 5 secs b/w 2:16 - 2:20 made me realize that there was an "indirect" kiss Haruhi did by drinking Kyon's cup of coffee!!! 0:32 gives proof that it was Kyon's coffee that she drank before leaving...!!!

Im Thrillz Chronologically, this isn't the ending of the show. The order of the episodes is a pretty complicated thing that I won't go into detail with (look up "haruhi Suzumiya broadcast order for more details) , but basically, half of the episodes came out in 2006 and the other half came out in 2009, but some of the 2006 episodes chronologically take place after the 2009 episodes. Most sites and DVDs just list the chronological order of the episodes instead of the order they were released in.

All these kids who think they know Anime in my school, I ask them about this show if they know it, and they never heard of it, and watch Bleach, and Full metal alchemist, Americanized Anime crap.
I went to Anime Boston a few years ago, (I dressed as Mikuru Asahina for it in the school uniform outfit, AND that she's my favorite character in it) and sadly NOBODY recognized me as her. T_T I was kinda shocked by that considering the Anime used to be popular, (At least the internet fandom on here.) was. Either I need someone to be Haruhi with me as Mikuru next year or get the battle waitress outfit with the pigtail wig. (ALOT of Mikuru cosplayers dress as her in that outfit from that episode, so maybe that was why too.)
