Japan was always known for its predominant culture, literature, architecture, religion, and statecraft.

The movie "Fighting Soldiers" produced in 1939 by the Toho Film Culture Film Department with the support of the Army Press Department with the aim of enhancing the fighting spirit of the Sino-Japanese War that began in 1937.
The premiere portrayed the reality of the war well and was well received by military personnel, but censorship by the Interior Ministry banned the film because of its anti-war ideology.

Lessons about the Nanjing Massacre are often left to the history teacher for that class. My history teacher told me about some of the terrible actions that the Japanese Imperial Army carried out in Nanjing, but I never heard that the soldiers performed the Fisherman's Dance in Nanjing.
