I demand that you make a high end milk crate pc!
Ola Østbyhaug I built my brother a gaming pc in a milk crate from 1964. I put a plexi glass window ln the front and it has a 1050ti, i5 6500, and 8gb ddr4. It absoultely beautiful
Not quite a milk crate PC, but here's a shoebox PC containing 30 cents worth of hardware: ruclips.net/video/o13kFgAnYeA/видео.html
Like this? imgur.com/a/qy6nM
Put the Titan V and the Xeon E5-2699 v4/5/whatever in there! Come on, Linus!
I second this, I'd lifetime subcribe to your channel if you do this Linus.
We needed a 2020 update of this
I mean just get a cooler master for a little more
@fireroka epower ep-2002bb (without psu) $25 on newegg
When you watch Linus roast the case that you own
My case didn't get hit too badly: third place Zalman T3. Last Christmas my boyfriend built it after consulting the parts with me. I didn't have RGB lighting that necessitated having a window.
Which one is yours I have an older version of the DIYPC Jax 12 it's actually pretty good
Git hekked, I'll be buying the Cougar
Mine is a tool box.
i am the 421 like. i liked just so it cant be 420 haha
Linus we're not budget conscious more like budget limited D':
H3 is love can i plz get 10 views on my video this year 😥😥😥
it would be a great new year present from this world

I love Hummer H3 too.
@@CiceroFMYT Well not when you are 13 yrs old with parents don't know and don't care anything bout the parts...
@Master Drakthorian Saving from what? My parents won't give me money, And eventhough I do sell something it's gonna took 10+ years to obtain dream pc..
@@Ohakoo I was able to score 160 dollars through crypto currency trading. That was last weak, I'm 14.
If you are willing to take some time and money from your wallet, try trading.
Some things to note if you wish to start trading:
1) Your going to lose money before you make money
2) its expensive
3) Your trading account could get hacked and the money may be transferred to anyone's bank account
4) Never focus on a single crypto currency
5) You can only predict with prices will go up or down, and your prediction is usually wrong
You can only use trading websites that are available in your area. Good luck m8.
P.S. Don't complain about stuff like this. The first thing I'm going to do is buy Nier: Automata and -stare- analyze 2B's booty... done.
he made it funny and really interesting to listen too. Good job Linus
His charisma is what made this channel what it is, even though it came at the cost of a few dexterity points.
TheGamingREZ Umm... You know someone wrote this, right? It's never Linus.

What was part is interesting to you? not able to read specs? You need linus, is this a TV show to you, entertainment?
lucas rem Well, yes, sort of
When is the best cheap gaming monitor coming?
LG 24MP59HT, is a great value with a nice IPS 24" screen, 75hz refresh (worlds better than 60hz imo), freesync and a vga port with 2 hdmi ports and an aux jack so i can plug my pc and nintendo switch into the same monitor and have the audio outputting into my nice speakers. Highly recommended monitor
i use 2 1600x900 monitors used from thrift shop for $15 eacj, sometimes i use a 1080p TV with hdmi, and i do well in games. i can game on them lol. dont buy into "you need a $200 gaming monitor to game". anything works really.
just make sure to consider audio. headset is always best for gaming, and for relaxing use cheap $10 speakers from amazon or whatever. also consider video ports: make your your motherboard and monitor both have the same type of ports or else get a adapter.
i wanna correct you 2k is a wider version of 1080p and 4k is a wider version of 2160p
never, they are not cheap. Maybe a used CRT monitor
AOC Q3279VWF... 31.5inch, 1440p QHD (16:9), 75hz (freesync), VA-Panel with good contrast and colours, only downside: not exactly the best pixel response time from very bright to very dark, not the best viewing angles:
200 €/$ :OOO
Rolled edges? Bah!
When I was your age we sliced our fingers on the OUTSIDE of the cases.
I still have a case like that
Don't use it though
Cougar makes really nice cases, from budget to high end. They deserve more attention than they get.
Most of them are, well, shit. Here's why
1)Most of them have Closed-Off front panel which mean little to no airflow
2)The stands are too short. leaving psu hungry for fresh air
3)Build Quality. On the budget side is horrible. Can't say that to high-end stuff, though.
4)Not much space for cable management
TBH. Just go for NR400 or NR600 for budget oriented build, Lian Li O11, H500M and Phanteks P400A for high-end build
I used to have a mid range cougar case, around 40$. It had 2 fans already mounted, cable management holes and spaces, toolless 2.5 and 3.5 bays, mesh front, though the bay mounting was not removable to be able to mount a radiator.
Agree. I’ve got a Cougar MX330G and it’s a pretty good case for $45. Good cable management room, glass side panel, enough room on the front for two-three fans and enough room on the top of the case for two more fans. Additionally there are dust filters on both as well as on the PSU intake. Power supply shroud with 3.5 inch bays. Pretty good case all in all.
@@muffinman4515 Same as mine! And nice sober looks too, looks very timeless.
@@blyatman7244 im useing the mx330G and its a great case at 50 bucks
can have up 2 5 120mm fans ( 6 if you remove the 5.25 drive bat)
its front panel is mesh
side panel is tempered glass
no issues with build quality
good space for cable management
1.5in clearance on the bottom for the power supply ( also if your getting the right psu unit for your pc it should almost never be running the fan
2 front usb 3.0 ports and 2 usb 2.0 ports
Call Team Rocket. That was pretty damn funny. Props to the writer 👍

i really like, that you did the ad before comparing the cases!
well... now you guys need to make a ziptie milkcrate pc...
Cougar MX330
The best case is no case. I keep all my components out in the open. That way I can easily avoid over-heating by just opening a window and occasionally blowing on the CPU myself.
Good Boy
Well... that’s creative.
Ur joking
Good Boy I wonder how much blowing that would take?
Would it be a dumb idea to just...funnel airflow to your components?
Like, mounting the main bits on a slab of some sort and have another on the opposite side?
maybe that milk crate would be a pretty good idea
Great video! While we all loving seeing the high-end builds and how they perform, many of your viewers have limited resources or for other reasons will always buy the cheapest pieces of hardware they can in certain areas. I think it's smart to sprinkle in these budget and ultra-budget reviews periodically (or maybe every fourth video or something). Nicely done!
Who else is here because they're as broke as the McDonald's ice cream machine

"Suuuper Toasty"
CPU at Load: 40.6°C
GPU at Load: 71.6°C
Those seem like pretty reasonable temps to me.
what kind of savage plays a game with the gpu fan set to default curve? Like crank that boy up, i never let mine reach above 60....
It's ultimately pointless.
That's CPU EXHAUST, not CPU Temp.
These are exhaust, not core temps.
The temperatures matter more in relation to each other.
Also, so long as the specs and load in each system are the same, what they are specifically is irrelevant. Where did you learn otherwise?
I loved the huge power button next to the team rocket calling button. Neat huge thingy. And i've recently been building in the Zalman T4, which has a layout identical to T3, but a diffirent front panel, and i liked it a lot. And the installation of 3.5 hard drives would go better from underneath, you don't really have to remove the front panel to install them.
I bought a deepcool dukase v3 the other day for $65 and it's got me crazy. Psu shroud with a led strip cutout which also accommodates 2 3.5" drives, side window, great cable management, 2 pre installed 120mm fans (1 has led lighting), top radiator mount, 390mm gpu clearance, thumb screws on the pci tabs, fan speed controller (which means you can save 3 of your molex 4pin cables) and dust filters on the front and psu intake. Afaik you really can't beat it for the price.
I love these super budget round ups.
Me too. I don't build super-budget rigs anymore, but there was a time when that was all I could afford. I wish more tech tubers understood and appreciated that perspective rather than assuming all their viewers use a 1080 Ti and a $1,600 CPU with a 1.5 TB M.2 NVME SSD. That's just not the world we live in.

0.5+3.8+1.0+0.1= 3.5
nice maths skills you got there
The Cooler Master Elite Lite 5 RGB is a good choice too that is not very expensive at all. Includes 4 fans with 3 RGB lit intake fans on the front and one outtake on the back, while also having enough room for anyone looking to upgrade with no problems. Tempered Glass is also a very nice touch on the side of the case
I'd love to see a Mod series on these cases, one episode per case to try and improve it's flaws :) Awesome Video LTT!
In CASE you missed them.
This guy is a legend
Good to test out those low-end cases for people who wants to save some money but does not want to end up with buying junk. Really good job!
I'd love you too review more cases like this 10 at a time. Makes shopping for cases hella easier
For some reason i really enjoy budget pc cases reviews. That was funny to watch.
You need to include the mighty shoebox!
I would love to see the Milk Crate Build!
Poets of Game same!
I built a pc for my brother in a milk crate from 1964. It has a removable front window, 1050ti, i5 6500, and 8gb ddr4. Nobody understands how nice it looks
Matt Roberto pls sens some pics or video
i think this is the best video you have made in awhile.. Thanks!
I love these kind of videos. Please do more of them!
You guys should do best budget monitors next.
#Budgettechtips
I was looking for a budget case not too long ago. Ended up with a BitFenix Nova after a friend recommended it. I'm happy with it so far. I has breakout pci covers, no dust filter on the front and very little cable management place.
I bought the DIY case after this video and am still using it today. Good looking case and better quality than other cheap cases I have bought.
please do a milk crate build
NavalNation I built a pc in a milk crate from 1964. It has a removable front window, 1050 ti, i5 6500 and 8gb ddr4.
YES
In India, you can find great looking atx cases with 2 fans and leds with decent build under 30 USdollars
kithre, I'm looking for a good one, under 2k
It's like you guys knew I was planning on buying a new case, thanks!
Would love to see a best under $50-70. Awesome video!
I heard Linus is affected by gravity in the worst of ways when handling tech.
If that’s the CASE, he’s super unlucky...
Now we need a Milk Crate build. Please deliver
Hoobie Doo I built a pc in a milk crate from 1964. It has a removable front window, 1050ti, i5 6500, and 8gb ddr4
Great video, very practical. I'll take more of these please
I got a Rosewill Nautilus for Christmas and used it for my Ryzen 3 build. It normally goes for around $50 but I've seen it go for as little as $25 when on sale. It comes with 3 fans, 1 in the rear and 2 in the front, with the front two having blue LED lights. It supports a full size ATX motherboard. It has a good amount of space, compatibility with up to 3 hard drives and a DVD drive, has a rear mounted PSU slot (no shroud), and there is space behind the case for cable management (though it is quite tight though). It has a clear side panel, and it has a top mount for a radiator. It is far from perfect but I would recommend it as a budget case.
The Cougar MG111 actually got 10.7/11... it only lost 0.3pts, 0.1 on injury, and 0.2 on extras
Linus is just stupid...
0:00 I see what you did there! CASE
This is extremely helpful, it's always difficult picking out a case without good reviews. Otherwise your buying based on just price and looks alone, thanks again Linus
My $20 mid tower case has a full plexiglass window, 240mm fan mount on the upper side, 3x140mm fan mounts on the front, 1x 5.45" bay, no glossy stuff, 3x3.5" HDD mount at the bottom next to the PSU, cable management holes next to the motherboard, PCI mount locks, for additional security, no break-off covers, fan dust filters on the top as well as on the PSU, SSD mounts (although the 3.5" bay racks are designed to accommodate 2.5" drives as well). It even has a water pump/reservoir mount. But, it doesn't come with any fans.
Newegg: 'Hey Linus, you think you could shit on all of our budget computer cases?'
Linus: 'You came to the right guy!'
Sharp edges have consequences I guess that I had to find out for myself
exactly the song i was thinking of lol
My friend bought a different Cougar case for his build. I can confirm that they're pretty good to work with.
Can't wait for this kind of series to return with the LAB

The Cougar MG110 is 47EUR in Germany. Thats US$52 or CAD$71.
The DIYPC Jax12-BK is not available in Europe.
the DIYPC Jax12-BK is not available anymore anyway, the production of it has halted and all its stock is gone :_(
Awesome video guys, I was thinking of getting a new case for my pc but i was looking to spend a bit more to get something a bit more premium, I think it would be cool if you did a best mid/ high? range (50-120 or so idk) case video anyways keep up the good work guys!
great hands on review!
You should have included the Rosewill FBM-X1 it looks pretty good for its price and even has a window and its only about $27
They didn't because it's MSRP is $49.99 and it is a fantastic case. I just recently installed my friend's old computer into it a week or two ago. It actually has fantastic cable management for a case when it is discounted in price. I got it for $10 after rebate during black friday sales.
also because they were working with newegg and rosewill is neweggs in house brand
Do a "Best Mid-Tower Cases under $50" video! I use the Deepcool Tesseract SW, which is actually really good for $49.99.
It goes on sale often for $25-29. Much better deal at that price.
Yay, I have the cougar! Win for me. But mine is able to mount a dual 120mm radiator in the front as well as the top. I never had a problem with the breakaway pci brackets. Once they are gone, don't have to deal with them again anyway. Mine doesn't have the side vents though and has a plastic panel instead so maybe I have a slightly different model.
Ive had DIYPC cases in the past, and if you're on a tight budget, I highly recommend them. You get a lot for your monies.
I wanna know who's buying a $35 case and but spending $$$ on radiators for liquid cooling???
Ollie K. Maybe you spent all your money on your cooling and hardware and now you’ve got no money for a case? Maybe you got the liquid cooling for cheap?(cooler master has a 40$ liquid cooler)
Why waste money on the metal box? Best to spend it on components that actually matter.
isodoublet but bigger is better for the case
In what way? What if you have limited space? What if you would like a pc that's compact enough to carry? What if (wink wink) you are water cooling, which limits the need for airflow inside the case?
isodoublet FINALLY, someone with some common sense, I don't get why people think that just because you spend a lot on the actual components you have to spend a lot on the case.
need a cheapest tempered glass case video now linus! like you did for the mechanical keyboards

i have a sharkoon m25-w, they are good quality cases
Also Gamemax and CIT
Yeah
also silentiumpc, basicly same as the jax12-bk in the video

I just finished building a system for a friend using the Thermaltake Versa H15. It was $30 off Amazon. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with it given it's price. It had removable HDD bays, a removable 5.25 bay, some thought toward cable management, plenty of room for a full length video card, and overall pretty good aesthetically.
Overall I'd recommend it to anyone building a budget gaming PC. Only caveat is that it is Micro ATX, but I think that's acceptable given Micro ATX tends to be a good pick for budget builds.
I wish you'd do a Pimp My Ride-esque show like the iJustine video.
Alovatololo pimp my ride only did asthetics they didnt do shit to fix the engine or actual problems of most of the cars, so it would kinda be pointless for him to just change things looks

You should make more videos like this if you want console gamers to get to pc on a budget .
Jafar Mahdavi Good idea but everything right now is very overpriced like the ram and gpu’s. Worst time to get into budget pc gaming unfortunately..
A good budget case in my opinion is the Rosewill Magnetar. I got it for 25 dollars on sale and it has an acrylic window and 3 fans pre-installed. No sharp places, decent amount of room for cable management, even a PSU dust filter! Big downside would be the one USB 3 port at the front, but for the price it’s amazing.
The budget case I really like is the Rosewill Line M. Costs 29-40 depending on the day and who you get it from. Only case I've used where I didn't cut myself.
Yeah, if only I knew which fan orientation is the optimal setup
