Have had my Hello Reef system up and running for 4 months. Super easy to set up. Learning a ton about the how's and mostly WHYs of saltwater tank keeping. I'm understanding what takes place in the tank cycle, why certain things come into play..and, it all makes sense. Matthew is an excellent teacher!

The Hello reef tank has an easy step by step process to put together. Your videos Matthew are very thorough and well edited. 👌Nice job.

Really liking the way you guys are doing this kit, hopefully you guys will consider releasing this in the EU as well.

I hope so too! It's definitely in the works, just a matter of time.

hi!i have a question regarding rock.if i used dry rock, can it be directly added into the tank?

Yes, absolutely. There are pros and cons to using dry rock, but that's all I ever use. It does tank longer to establish a healthy bacterial biome, but I've not found it to be a huge problem. If you are adding reef rock, you can always rinse it off with some tap water first if it is dusty.

On a new tank, what do you use to wipe it down? Just tap water and cloth is fine?

yeah, that works well. I usually put rodi water into a clean spray bottle, and use that. If I'm feeling really fancy that day, I'll use this product which is aquarium safe to give it a nice shine. I don't know what's in it... but it smells just like essential oils. www.bulkreefsupply.com/af-easy-gloss-200ml-aquaforest.html?queryID=c469e4eb201536904a207fa5b3399821&objectID=15487&indexName=brs_prod_m2_default_products

I would add the rock before the sand, this way the rock sits on the glass and can't crush any inhabitants that bury in the sand under the rock

Definitely agreed. I actually pushed this down to the bottom, just didn't put it in the video for some reason!
