    This set up will definitely require a cab mount chop which was never discussed by the front desk guy. Unfortunately he also did not recommend a place to get the alignment done upon completion. These guys are busy and kind of herd Tacoma’s in and out like cattle. They did a great install but I did not get that warm fuzzy feeling from the guy at the front desk. Had to keep calling to get my spare tire. Finally decided to go in to the shop and was told by the front desk guy it was not in yet. Went back a couple days later, and the Asian guy 👍🏽 who sits at the desk in the back of the front office broke up a set for me which the front desk guy never considered doing after a 4 month wait. Quality work from techs👍🏽 but crappy customer service (Front Desk Guy👎🏽). (Rear Desk Guy👍🏽)

    With all the lift videos I've seen, no one addresses the spare tire. Especially when the new tires are larger than OEM spare tire. What is the largest spare tire that will fit? I am looking at getting my 2013 Tacoma TRD Off Road lifted, I want keep it below 3". I am looking at keeping or improving the truck's performance on and off road. I am also looking at getting metal bumpers within the next year. What setup would you recommend?

    Good to see you guys finally putting wheels on after lowering the truck down. Lifting and putting on those heavy tires was most difficult part to watch. =)

    • @88ROTORS
      @88ROTORS  5 лет назад

      It's actually easier to do it standing up when the truck is up high. We only did it closer to the ground because something had to be done and was already down. There's more control when its up top with less strain on your back.

    I don't know why the Eibach Pro lift kit isn't more popular . I've read they were comparable or even a little better than the Billy 5100 w/ OME 888 and cheaper. I think they have a 1 million mile warranty and their customer service is top notch.

    • @88ROTORS
      @88ROTORS  5 лет назад +1

      More so because they are capped at 2" of lift on the front shocks. They are designed to level the truck only. Or 1" front rake with use of the 1" rear block that's available from Eibach only. Most people prefer to go higher to clear 285's. That's why this customer went with 265 tires with the Eibach Pro Lift.

      @@88ROTORS Thanks for the info. Misleading b/c they were advertised as 2.5"- 3" of lift in the front and 1" in the rear. I was browsing through TacomaWorld and members were clearing 285 w/ no rub. I'm more incline to believe you since you do this for a living. Guess if I go this route I need to add 1/2"- 1" spacers cuz I want to avoid any trimming or BMC.

    • @88ROTORS
      @88ROTORS  5 лет назад +1

      With any articulation with 2” and proper alignment specs, you’re more than likely going to rub with 285’s. Wheel spec plays a big role as well. Manufacture’s website states 2” at bottom setting if we are talking about the 3rd Gen Tacomas. (eibach.com/us/i-8816-pro-truck-lift-system-stage-1.html) The 2nd gen Tacoma part number is the one with the 2.5” setting. We’ve seen them settle quite a bit also. Some may get that 2.5”-3” measurement immediate after installing it but when it settles, they’re closer to that 2” mark.
