    I have the S to S Ikos TR2 - it's basically the same tent, slightly heavier, definitely cheaper but all the same features. Brilliant tent, so versatile, rainproof, solid. Love the design. My go to tent.

    I can see hang out mode used more than camping, kids soccer games like a sportbrella, or a nice beach shade. Could give the tent more use

      @BelgianHikers  Год назад

      Absolutely. It's best for situations where you have ample time to set up though. I'm sure there are quicker solutions.

    I’m a fan of Sea to Summit. There is always a certain cleverness about their products, something stylish and enjoyable, something - indeed - nobody thought of. You could call them the Belgium Hikers among the outdoor brands 😊.

      If they keep at it, maybe one day they'll be as successful as we are 😉

    There are a lot of advantages to the sea-to-summit tent. But... I think the disadvantage of water seeping under the fly over the vent is a problem that must be solved.

    Hangout mode would be absolutely amazing for fishing on slow rivers

      True! Probably not the cheapest or quickest solution, but a nice bonus if you need a tent anyway.

      @BelgianHikers  Год назад +1

      I'm super interested in the X-mids and hope to be able to test them in the future. But they're pretty hard to get a hold of here in Europe, and if you factor in import duties, they not quite that cheap (though still a great option!).

    • @mirjamdekker3418
      @mirjamdekker3418 Год назад

      X-mid will cost me (in the Netherlands) 735 euro including the poles.... Their website says 330 USDollar. So yeah, you are right import duties are rather high. @@BelgianHikers

    Yeah 'groundbreaking' design, another tent that pitches inner first.

    • @BelgianHikers
      @BelgianHikers  Год назад

      Since the Telos has a 'fly only'-mode, you can actually pitch that first and do the inner last. It takes longer though, so don't bother in light rain.

    • @stevemitchell9176
      @stevemitchell9176 Год назад

      @@BelgianHikers I don't think it takes any longer to pitch fly first. Easy and quick enough whichever pitch option you choose.

    • @stevemitchell9176
      @stevemitchell9176 Год назад

      @@BelgianHikers It would probably be easier to describe it as frame first pitching - every option follows from that.

  • @Chris66able

    Yeah after carefully considering this tents attributes & design, I would say this tent falls in to a category we we used to have years back, we used to call tents like this ' SHITE '.
