Through the impeachment process, Congress charges and then tries an official of the federal government for “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
That is the order of things as per the Constitution.

We can see the game that the Supreme Court is playing, and understand the partisan politics behind their motivation. They cannot pretend, or deny it. This is ominous, and risks fatally undermining our very democracy.
So, let me get this clear. Our judicial branch, who is responsible for making sure that every law/decision passed is constitutional. Our constitution declares all branches of government are equal and separated to ensure the balance of power,l. In other words to prevent any other branch of government from getting too powerful and tyrannical. This court will hear an argument where in which the executive branch can be or cannot be prosecuted for criminal actions while governing... Given the structure of our constitution, the declaration that no one will have too much power, and by getting away with crimes... Implies superiororty over others... This court has a very, very easy decision to make.
Everything we are as Americans is anti-tyranny. Our revolution, our constitution, our bill of rights, everything suggests/proclaims on the highest peaks that we are independent from tyranny.
Now, we have a branch of government seriously considering the other branch of government has authority above the very laws passed...
If the Supreme Court actually states the president is immune from laws already passed, they might as well shoot themselves in the foot or something because they will be next on the chopping block if the executive branch is above the law...
