It’s nice to see someone semi-local to me, starting a car channel and to have been first introduced from tavarishs video makes it even more epic, congratulations!!!

      I’ve never understood why certain ppl ruin the cars they do these days. Vehicles that you wouldn’t own or have if you didn’t know the importance, heritage, value of yet they’ll hack them up like every little other thing they “customized” and ruined in their life all to throw away after six months. Blows my mind sometimes.

    • @OnEst_Opinion
      @OnEst_Opinion День назад

      “Acting” lol as much as I love Tavarish and that crew, they do too much scripting in their content, Jack far less than Freddy. You can tell Tavarish says “hold on, say that again so I can video it” or “no no say it like this and I’ll video it again” type behavior. Like it’s obviously that they discussed or planned what to say with reactions, like laughs or little “funny” comments, being obviously forced. Not to mention Freddy’s terrible problem making empty promises with content and projects. Jacks posted more in the last three months than Tavarish has in a year despite Freddy saying he was going to be more consistent and organized. Just look at the P1 build or literally any of his don’t get drove projects.

      My friend had LS400 as well, great candidate to restore, Texas car, no rust. Definitely needed paint and some panel replacement, along with trans service. Well, it jumped timing, sold for peanuts to a guy that was building a drift car. Shame, huge shame in my eyes...

      @@ElseasWorld Because you asked that steering wheel has seen much better days and needs something. Peeled off trim is annoying to grip on a steering wheel. If it's anything like the rubberish stuff they loved using on shift knobs that sticks to your hand as it ages than it's gotta go.

If you will restore it to it's original glory it's yours .you have to tow it home though I'm broke. I could also use help fixing my 98 gs300 on the cheap but the offer still stands. 99' 2 finders
    99' Hood with grill bult in .
    99' front bumper with its parts .
    99' front headlights.
    Believe me the vehicle will be something else.
    Also replace the 99' Xenon headlights with normal LEDs much cheaper and more practical.

    The more UCF chassis cars I see having high mileage restorations on, the happier I am with my 2002 UCF30 Toyota Celsior here in Japan. I’m the second owner and it’s at only 67,000 km. With the original timing belt! (Yikes, I know.) I’ll have to wait a year after I leave Japan to get it into the states, but at this point I’m willing to get a beater until my Celsior shows up. These are very, very well built cars!

    I absolutely love what you are doing for 3 reasons. Firstly I have been learning all about body repair and all the methods you are using now look very familiar to me so I’ve really enjoyed it in process and I have to say you are excellent at what you do too! Secondly not only is this example an icon because of it’s history, but I have always had a real soft spot for the LS400 and how it came about, the way it literally changed the automotive landscape and kicked the European establishments squarely in the nuts! To me it is STILL an elegant, classy looking and beautifully engineered car from the era that I consider to be unquestionably the best for engineering and design unlike today’s expensive, cheaply made, over techy and incredibly boring cars. And thirdly, I am a huge believer in making things last and not wasting resources - I have a 20yo Volvo which is my daily driver that I keep going, much less tech, well engineered and keeps going. So again the Lexus really fits that ethos perfectly. One of my favourite series on RUclips lately - I am looking forward to the next video dude! PS definitely keep the interior original for character, but definitely change that steering wheel only because it’s the one thing you are always in contact with and it affects the whole driving experience lol.

    Love the content, love how you made the big decision to go for your dream. Can’t wait to see your RUclips progress. Get some collaborations with Mat Armstrong and those lads. I’m sure Freddie can hook you up. Be good to see you getting them all drifting. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    I'm glad to see you fixing everything rather than just replacing parts, so that should go for the steering wheel too. As for the carpet, if you really can't get all of the stains out, I wonder if you could dye it a new color that would cover up the last stains?

    When I was very young, I worked at a place called "Pro Motorcar Products" and I assembled these magnet-based paint thickness gauges as well as a cheap "consumer" version called a "Spot Rot", and an electronic version as well. The "Spot Rot" was less about paint thickness and more about finding bondo or seeing gross differences in paint thickness (for example, right fender vs. left fender) to point to a possible repair. I'm watching you discover bondo here and I'm wondering... did these products not survive? It was such a quick and non-destructive way to find body repairs.

    A 1966 Volvo P1800S has been driven more than 3250000 miles. It belongs to Irv Gordon. That is an automotive record for sure.

    Personally I think you should either A. restore the exterior completely and clean the interior to the best of your abilities or B. Completely restire the exterior and make sure everything functions and works in the interior and is in place properly and is clean etc but leave the wheel to represent the miles and whos hands have been behind this car persay leave a message in my opinion
