Thank you for the video it’s a big help especially the last part about the break in process supper glad I watched before getting to work on my 2006 Camry le
Just the video I was looking for. I’m doing the exact job on my Camry , all the exhaust bolts are rusted and can’t be removed. Will be cutting them off tomorrow so I can finish this up. Nice video, straight forward, learnt something new about breaking in a new cat.
When installing the gaskets, how do we determine which side should be facing up or does it not matter at all, since they don't look identical on both sides?
I'm considering to replace the resonator on my car. It appears I have the option to replace it with a silencer assembly or a resonator assembly. What is the difference and which one do you recommend, and is there an advantage to one over the other?
Help .what engine size is the toyota camry you was working on in your video? ..do i have 2 catalytic converters on my 2002 toyota camry le 2.4 4cylinder ? Im a Diy gal.Great video.....how do you break in the catalytic converter
I have a 2006 Toyota Camry Ateva with a 1mzfe, i was wondering, i got the check engine code for a cataylic converter being under its emission threshold, i took it to the mechanic and he said that the cataylic converter needs replacing, i was wondering how do i know which part of the cat converter to replace?
The flange on the existing pipe where the catalytic converter gets bolted to barely has anything left to it and it's so slim, hence would it seal properly or should the flange be replaced? Check out the video at min. 7:06 for a side by side comparison.
On my budget, there was enough crush that it sealed fine, but if you can afford more pipe, I would add new exhaust the rest of the way back. It has passed emissions tests with no leak. Not sure how many Ohio winters it will take though.
L J Sanchez I came across that same problem I just took the alternator off give me a chance to clean it up really good and clean the connections have grease all over it runs like a champ
Wish I would have bought a fisher pipe instead of eBay crap,,,for my v6 solara…I keep putting gasket maker on to try to seal it and keeps blowing out because,,,the pipes are cheap aluminum,,and bend if you tighten the bolts too tight….
Supposedly I need to change my catalyc converter. Mechanic says that there are two parts to it. The top and bottom. He says that the top one is the one I need to fix. Is it true that there are two parts to it??
Anyone have any experience with the Evan Fischer brand? I need to replace my cat and there's is over $1,000 cheaper than OEM. It makes me a bit skeptical.
First video I watched that mentioned how to break in the catalytic converter . Thank you !
Great to the point information, did not know how important it is to break the cat converter in. Very valuable knowledge

nice job. I've always wondered whats inside catalytic converters... who knew it is bricks? LOL
ruclips.net/video/3vzk0oBCqUM/видео.html watch this video I made. you can see what the bricks look like.
It is a honeycomb ceramic substrate with precious metal coating

How do you know which O2 sensor to get for this convertor?

@@tommattey8292 I just got my whole exhaust system off ebay hopefully it will hold up couple winters.
Once you cut off the bolt, was it really, really as simple as just tapping it out with a punch or was that the power of editing?
Just that easy...but Joe, our mechanic is an animal.
Is Evan Fischer even a good brand?
2003 Camry in NY requires special/different emissions so what do you do? All the flex pipes I find are not acceptable for NY???
wa has magnaflow has good exhaust for CA, NY, and ME. they are USA made. more expensive then amazon or ebay, but about 1/2 the price of OEM
How much does it cost to fix this
I can't get the bolt next to the alternator out, none of my sockets fit

There are actually two cat converters on that model. up front near the radiator and one underneath the engine.
@@tommattey8292 thank you Tom
Gee Zuss, wear gloves bro
Sorry...Joe is old school. Tried to get him to wear eye protection too.
