JCF has once again released a great album. He picked 11 marvelous songs penned by others and made them his own. The cover version of his own song is probably the one I like least although Change In The Weather is a good song in Eye Of The Zombie. He compiled 11 catchy tunes and I used to listen to them every morning during breakfast for a good start of the day. I love this album, nevertheless I'd like to have John rock again on his next ... it's a different world.
Thank you for. Beautiful rendition, and for keeping this song alive. I am almost 65 and remember my dad singing and playing this, my favorite Halloween s ong.
Simmons' 1964 version was a cover of the original by Johnny Fuller, which came out in 1958. Fuller was an Oakland, Calif. musician and a black relocated from Mississippi. I like all versions of this song.
Fogarty could finish this set by paying homage to the Dave Gardner story which was the inspiration for "Haunted House" by declaring, "If you ain't JOHN, I'm gone!". It would have really made a great connection for us to those days when we used to listen to Brother Dave Gardner's stories. They were usually about southern lore and included things like hainted houses, RRRRC Cola & Moon Pies, and phrases like, "I might be big - and I might be slow - but I'm ahead of you". ROTFLMAO
i am a big fan of john fogerty and i have him as a grandfather . except i never met him cuz my grrandmother and john fogerty divorced. i am looking foward to meet him and julie and their children.
Are you Josh's kido or his daughters kido then? Bit strange that John wouldn't meed his grandkids I would think? Seems that Martha would have somehow made this happen, maybe not?
You may never get to meet John Fogerty, mainly because you could be eligible to receive an inheritance from his vast wealth. This would take away from the amount his other family members would receive, especially when you consider the royalty checks for publishing and performance. Of course, John is healthy and youthful and will be around for many more decades and I hope you do get to know your grandfather, even if he does not include you in his will.

Wish you luck in meeting your grandfather, John Fogerty. He is my favorite singer, songwriter and musician.
Got so many folks up there on stage it must be like conducting an orchestra! Except they don't need conducting.
hey that drummer used to play with john mellen camp
Thanks. I just used the internal mic on my camera.
