Yeah, but it don't have no sugar in it.
Adding sugar to corn pudding is worse than glazed carrots for me.
Both are naturally sweet and have no need of extra.
A whole cup of sugar is insane.
My recipe just calls for a scant tsp of sugar to enhance the natural flavor.
It also has cream cheese, sour cream, white cheddar, gruyere, roasted red bell pepper, cornmeal, buttermilk, egg, salt, pepper, smoked paprika and a whole lot of corn.
Usually bake off a small dish for myself from the mix with some red pepper flakes and some diced jalapeno.

That's basically the same recipe that my family has used for years (Baked Corn) and I have given out many times. It is sweet, so I only use1/2 cup of sugar. That way the corn shines instead of the sugar. Use evaporated milk if you can. Also bits of butter are only added to the top before the oven for better browning. We also bake it at 425 because the crust needs that temp to get really brown. The mixing of the wet/dry ingredients is very important or it won't set up well. Just like Wayne said, a must for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

My grandma's recipe is a "pantry recipe." It's a can of creamed corn, a sleeve of crushed saltine crackers, eggs (1or2?), milk, black pepper. It was a tradition to have it on the holiday table. It's a frugal recipe made with shelf stable ingredients, you can use powdered milk if needed. My grandparents were farmers in north western North Dakota. They had to drive about an hour to get to a grocery store... needless to say it was important to have a well stocked pantry, especially in the winter!

I'm wondering if anyone has a NEW broccoli 🥦 holiday dish this year??
Sugar, flour, corn are three type food a diabetec should not eat.
Perhaps I'll switch to *stevia* & that'll help take a lot of carbs out.
I've always loved those types of dishes.
    Thank you, Wayne. 🇺🇲

      Sugar n carbs challenged
Your better off eating real food
The chemical's used in sugar free are more harmful than the real food you're trying to avoid
All diabetic substitute has a chemical that causes stomach gas, which applies pressure to your organs
      Have a heart attack history
This is very bad for a week heart
Anyway do as you wish, best to you all
      I'm eating it

Paula has claimed corn Jiffy casserole as HERS for decades. She raves how everybody all across the country tells her how good it where ever she goes.
Well it is not Paula's recipe. In the 1960s Jiffy put the exact recipe on their box. Furthermore the grocers later printed the Jiffy corn recipe and had it next to where they sold their boxes of cornbread. A shopper could simply tear off the recipe sheet.
Yes Paula dissed his recipe. But it worked out well for her because she slipped in her air fryer commercial. She never can miss a chance to make more money. .
