@killjoy2051 did you folks come across some door cartridges that had no deadbolts installed? My first box I opened had that. The guys were picking on me because I'm a lady and helping install the new locks and they thought I 'lost' the deadbolt somehow 🙃
@@ripleyhicks3634 just to get the dumb question out of the way, but does the face plate have the deadbolt hole in it? Was it supposed to have a deadbolt for the model?
@@ripleyhicks3634 I feel like I have come across one that didn't have a deadbolt but it was only one. It's all starting to melt. Send that one back and get it replaced or possibly use it for a staff room door
Mr. Kj20, great video! Is there a way to contact you about the series 79 lock like this but without the key/cylinder? it's about simply removing the handle. Instructions state stick a 'pick(?)' or thin screwdriver in a hole where the tongue sits, then up and down the tool in the hole to release the handle. Well, not for me! I have tried numerous items and tools and cannot get the handle free for removal. Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you!

@killjoy2051 yes, the faceplate had a deadbolt hole, just no deadbolt in the cartridge

You call up Dormakaba. If you've truly lost your keys i suggest you buy all new cores so the security of your hotel is not at risk.
