- How does it sound using the boss metal zone as a preamp as part of a fly-rig? I think it sounds pretty good. Would you consider a setup like this as a backup rig or even a main rig?
Not bad !
Did you use it live in the end ?
If so, how did it go ?
Not exactly. I’ve since gotten a Line 6 HX Stomp which I’ve gigged with all of last year. We’ve but the Two-Notes on my brothers board though and he’s used it as his bass amp for the last year! Our band is called OCTRAIN and you can hear how the pedals sound on our live clips! :D
@@jtguitartv Gotcha
Everyone criticised Lars and now look at the mess we're in...they won't sue because the last power chord in the part you played is G# not A. Nice video anyway! I appreciate your honest style, thanks JT Guitar
Lol thanks. I did play it slightly differently in the hope that I could argue it isn't the same. 🤣 You're spot on about the G#. ;)
Great video! Is it possible to use the Cab M to send an output to a power amp without any cab sim on and another output (XLR perhaps) to the mixing desk with the cab sim on both at the same time? Cheers
Thanks! I think I get what you mean. The CabM I think has a pass through feature, so you can split off and send the signal to two places. It’s on my brother pedalboard atm so I can’t check! 😅
It’s a great product though, I highly recommend it and I’d definitely go this route if I was playing in a a metal band. Or, tbh, I might just still use my hx stomp. They’re both great. Thanks for watching! :)
Did you activate the poweramp section in the cab m ?
Yes. They’ve also done an update now so that it has preamp simulation too.
@@jtguitartv Thanks. And hey also have released the OPUS, which is a smaller-sized pedal with different preamp models this time.
have not seen your lockdown hair before, suits you
Lol, thank you. I was having a bit of a crazy hair day in this video though. 😅
@@jtguitartv you are gradually disappearing behind a hairy wall.
The hairy wall is also gradually disappearing, if fear...
I wonder what that Metalzone would sound running through Boss Katana MK2 100 watt amp for a fly rig?
I think the katana has a metal zone like setting in it already. I could be wrong though. I played a trade show with a katana and was really impressed.
