Hey gemma ....thank you for this been waiting 4 something healthy n tasty....😋
Hi Gemma,
I'm a huuuuge fan and I'm a subscriber! Even though I've have a gluten intolerance, I still watch because I bake for my family and friends. I was wondering if you might have a good recipe for gluten free chocolate chip cookies that are crispy around the edges and chewy and soft in the middle. I know this is a lot to ask when talking about gluten free baked goods but I'm so frustrated trying to find something to replace my most beloved sweet treat. I was hoping you might have the solution. Do you think you could help me end struggle? 😂❤
Gemma Stafford hi Gemma! Could you do a recipe for short cut pastry cooked in a microwave. I would like to use that as base for cheesecake tarts. I can't find a recipe in the internet
Did it and is now our number one cookie!!! Amazing recipe! Thank you Gemma!!!!!
Honestly this is now one of my favorite videos of BBB. Not just because of the recipe, but because of the teamwork. I personally love working in teams coz it just gives you so much joy and there's something very comforting about it. Makes you feel wanted and loved. And I absolutely adore your ways of working. Hope to see more of it in the future. God bless 💜
Thanks for your lovely note. It really does take a team. It was just Kevin and me for so long but now we're really grateful to have such an awesome band of Bold Bakers! :) Thank you for being with us!

I've never liked oatmeal raisin cookies...however, these turned out to be the most perfect cookies EVER. I LOOOVE them! Lots of love from Hungary
Wow, Laura! That's fantastic!
I made these cookies and replaced red raisins with dates, almonds and golden raisins. They turned out to be perfect and gooey in the middle. This is your first recipe I have tried and I am glad I came across your channel!!😊
Thank you for the positive review. - Team Gemma

I cannot agree more
Waw I baked them today, really tasty, crunchy outside, chewy inside! Thank you for sharing. I also added chopped almonds for extra crunch.
These are amazing, I 'm only 12 and I've just made them. They are easy , quick and delicious. And they look great too. I didn't have brown sugar but they still came out great. Thanks for the recipe! I love them❤

Is there a butter substitute
What a nice recepie ! What a nice team !.. and you and your husb are so cute . ♡
Thanks so much!
I made this and i loved it. Thank you Gemma 😘
kitchen was smelling so delicious before i can even tasted it😆
It was bit sweeter for my taste though, will probably cut sugar into 3/4cup in total next time. And you know what, for those who like a little more crunch and still has softness in it, let it sit for 1-2 days. Man, i even loved it even more. Mine stayed few days because i cant finish those cookies alone 🤦♀😆😆
I made these cookies today and they turned out to be AMAZING. I just can't get over the taste it is soooo good. Thank you so much.
Well done, Anisha!
Hey Gemma... How long does it take the crew to devour all them delicious cookies???? I use ur recipie to make oatmeal butterscotch and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.... When it cools off I'll make a cranberry almond version... Love ya
Hi Jaime! Yes, the treats go fast these days which is good on Kevin and me. And your recipe ideas sound awesome! Let me know how you get on.
Coffee's fine but it can never compare to a cup of tea 😍😚
LOL . .. Unless you don't like tea ... ( or it doesn't like you.. as in my case .. ) to each his / her own ... that's what makes the world so great .. different people.. different tastes ... : ] *Personally a glass of ice cold milk would be the beverage of choice to have with these cookies .. But if I was allowed to drink coffee (health reasons) .. that would be choice number 2.
Love them!!! Will definitely try soon since mom just got a new oven!!! Thanx Gemma and all the crew who make this all possible!!
That's fantastic! Please do let me know how you get on: www.biggerbolderbaking.com/oatmeal-cookies-best-ever/
I just made these cookies and they are awesome!!! Perfect for breakfast and coffee, Tomorrow I will feel like in a fancy coffee shop while taking a perfect coffee, these cookies, and some jazz. Great recipe, thank you!
I'm delighted to hear that. Thank you for sharing.
i love your accent and crave your recipes, but the Keurig plugs remind me of the Truman show!
Definitely something a little different this week but I hope you enjoyed it.
I did, and congrats on the sponsor.
These are the best oatmeal cookies I've ever had. I used dried cranberries instead of raisins. I will definitely be making these again!
I'm happy to hear that, Lynn.
@@biggerbolderbaking do I use unsalted or salted butter?
This recipe is to die for! Did it three times already and every time, I get the best chewy in the middle, crisp on the outside cookies. I personally don't like raisins though so I substitute chocolate chips or chunks, and then toss in some walnuts too. Yum! Thank you again for always sharing bomb recipes, Gemma!
I know, right? Thrilled to hear that!
Thank you so much for your input and support ! Keep up your good work !
Loved the team effort on this video😊and the cookies even more😄😋it looks delish and yummy👍great job
Thanks a million, Crissy! Always lovely to hear from you.
I love oatmeal cookies! It's the only recipe where I can tolerate raisins in my desserts, haha :) The baking time is really short. No wonder the raisins in my cookies ended up shriveled and tough - I have been baking them off for too longn!
Yes, it definitely makes the difference. :)

Ok, that Keurig is going on my list to Santa! Great video, thank you for sharing
That's great to hear! I LOVE it. Haven't been to a coffee shop since I got it: amzn.to/2Agp1T6
I will try to make these, the other recipe called for oat bran but I never had any so I'd use more oatmeal and the cookies taste amazing. Sometimes I would add chocolate chips but when I'm feeling extra I'll add cranberries in as well with the chocolate and raisins 😋 my dad loved those the most.
I've made these the first time a few days ago for lunar new year, gave my neighbours some and got a text back straight away saying they were the best oatmeal and rasins cookies they have ever tasted 😋 thank you so much x
Wonderful job, Melisandre! Keep it up!
Hi Gemma!
Thank you so much for sharing..
I made these in my gas oven and let it cool completely but mine came out soft, no crunch at all and I had to bake them for close to 13mins before it browned.
Please can you tell me what I might have done wrong?
Thanks❤
I’ve never been a fan of raisins in baked goods. I love them as a snack though.
I’m going to make these without raisins today.
You can certainly leave out the raisins!
Such a lovely lady, can't wait to make this recipe😋
Thank you so much, Mira. Lovely profile photo you have there, too. :)
I just love the way your recipes are and for this time I am definitely gonna try this recipe

I love the behind the scenes footage. Do oats have to be rolled I only have quick cooking and I wanna make them without having to get rolled.
I think those should be fine
Thanks so much! Rolled oats are what's called for but you should be fine with quick cooking as well: www.biggerbolderbaking.com/oatmeal-cookies-best-ever/
I made these yesterday, it made 12 jumbo cookies. They were delicious. I packed 3 for a neighbor in a pretty cellophane package and she loved them. Hubby's been eating the rest and I was good and only had one. Very nice recipe, thank you.
That’s fantastic! Well done to you, Nessa.
I've just made them. I made two different types, one with chocolate chunk another one just the oatmeal. My family really love it! Thank you for the recipe!
Wonderful ! Thank you so much for trying it out!

Well done to you, Grace. Thank you for the kind words, and the support!
Amazing! I wonder when you are with your mom and baking is it only you and her?
Yes, it usually is but my entire family likes to get in the kitchen as well. :)
I love you Gemma!!! I love the recipe
Thank you so much!
Thanks Gemma, great recipe, they looked wonderful when you brought them out of the oven. Lovely to see the behind the scenes as well, a very well oiled machine of terrific people. Well done and thanks again,i love everything you do Gemma. 😊.xoxoxo 😊
Thanks a million, June!
I just made these with a few tweaks: added a dribble of molasses to the weight of the brown sugar; put in 35 grams rolled barley (Quaker quick cooking pearled barley); used diced prunes instead of raisins; used convection baking. The edges were a bit too brown so did regular heat and still too dark edges (maybe the molasses?) but they were delicious.
It could be the molasses or the temperature in the oven before you turned to regular heat.
I guess I need to find a team to whip together some cookies!
Could we use jaggery powder to substitute brown suger since jaggery powder contains molasses too?
Yes, that should be just fine. :)
I had to go and Google jaggery powder. Interesting, and I'd now like to try it. It's "non-centrifugal" 😋
Instead of raisins, I put finely chopped pumpkin seeds & pecans in my cookie batter. My grandson said they were the best cookies ever. Everyone loved them. Love your recipes. Thank you! 🙅♀️👍
Well done you Bold Baker!
This is my second time baking this recipe and its so good! I didn't have white sugar so I just added 1 cup of compact light brown and it works too♥️
Wonderful! Thank you so much for your input!
You look geeky with the glasses. I LIKE IT.
Haha. Thanks, Sarah! :)
Everyone always hates on oatmeal raisin but it is one of my all time favorites!
Same! I will never understand why people don't like raisins. They don't know what they're missing!
I know, right. :)
My problem with oatmeal raisin is when you think it's oatmeal chocolate chip and you bite into and then there are raisins
Annamae M. Same!!! Especially when they’re chewy with walnuts ❤️
Cassy ikr😂😂😂
You just got a new subscriber !! This has to be the best recipe I've came across .. cookies were super moist and finished within 2 days of baking them lol ..thanks for sharing 👏👏💕💕

Oatmeal raisin cookies are by far my favorites (right up there with good digestive biscuits) I can't wait to try this recipe!!
I hope you give it a go! www.biggerbolderbaking.com/oatmeal-cookies-best-ever/
Great biscuit! Chewy and crispy around the edges. We used chocolate chips because we had no raisins...and they still tasted great. Thanks Gem
Well done, you! Carry on baking!
You are amazing
Thank you, Sophia!
You beautiful with or without makeup
Aw, thanks so much!
Hi Jemma, I tried these cookies just without raisins and they were so delicious! 🤤 🤤, they were just big and bold and crispy and sweet and everything!
Fantastic!
Thus was so awesome!!! Hope you do more videos like this! Love the recipe as always! Love ya too...
Thank you so much! I will see what I can do. :)
I know I'll probably get booed for this, but can you leave the raisins out if you don't like them?
Yeah sure! She even said so in the video
Though I'll never understand why people don't like raisins...
Haha. Of course you can! Leave them out or add something like chocolate chips. :)
Or you could add dried cranberries.
I would add walnuts instead!
LOL I've tried raisins 3 times, I just can't eat them, they're just gross to me. I didn't hear her say that you could leave them out in the video for some reason, sorry about that Gemma! LOL
Hey jemma can you please do a 3/2 ingredient no bake dessert???please!!!!😢😢😢😢
I will see what I can do but I do have lots of 3 ingredient cookies on www.BiggerBolderBaking.com
Gemma Stafford thankyou

Thanks a million, Trisha! Yes it definitely takes a team. :)
These were so crazy good..I made them with flax eggs. They were a tad bit too sweet. But such a great cookie ❤️ gonna be trying all your recipes now 😂
Made oatmeal cookies from another recipe earlier and seemed they had too much butter when I was making them but I trusted the recipe instead of my own instincts. They did not come out that great.
Usually, Gemma is my go-to, I should have known better. These look much more what I was looking for and the recipe makes more sense than the one I tried earlier.
Thank u so much for sharing this recipe.. I'm the beginner in baking and it turned out so well that I have feel 'I'm the master of it' ;)
Glad that you are learning!
I made these within half an hour of it being uploaded they are perfect with a good cup of Irish tea thanks Gemma☕🇮🇪🇮🇪👌

That's fantastic! Do you have any photos of the chocolate cake you can share on www.BiggerBolderBaking.com
I love all of your recipes. Those oatmeal cookies do look delicious. I don’t like raisins that much, but I’m willing to try the recipe anyway because all your recipes I’ve made have been so far, delicious. And thanks for showing some behind the scenes looks on how each episode is made. I didn’t know there was a whole team helping alongside your husband Kevin.
Hi Sunny! You can always leave the raisins out. And yes, we have an awesome team here now. :)
It's 10:00 pm here in Southwest Missouri. My wife wanted fast cookies and I found your video. Made the cookies (super fast and easy) and they are delicious. I had to use chocolate chips because I didn't have any rasins. I can't wait for my 8 & 4 year old boys to try them in morning.
Awesome!
