- RSPCA commercial from 1988 transferred from beta tape. When it comes to commercial classics, you can't get much more classic than this RSPCA commercial "For all creatures great and small" featuring the music jingle "All Things Bright & Beautiful", I totally remember this ad when I was a kid in Tassie, it was often flogged to death! I remember this ad also being replayed again in 1999 and I guess it has seen more air plays since. Comedy Company did a funny piss take of this ad as well which footballers walk across the screen with injuries in place of the animals and the sling bandaged spectator with a tinny in place of the hesitant wombat, this spoof can be seen here • RSPCA ad parody .

They still play this ad on TV, but the music has been redone by an orchestra.
One of the RSPCA's lovelier adverts, contrasting with, say, the 18 certificate one with a dog being held at gunpoint, or the one that features a puppy being advertised as a toy and then thrown in the canal when the family can no longer cope.
Certainly tamer than those ones yes.

Only found out that this script that speaks in this ad actually from the Bible verses. Yes, God loves all creatures, great and small. The background music also from the church song too. Thanks for sharing, just love this ad.

+Doctor X Not true, the wombat at the end, Walter, still lives today at Lone Pine Zoo in Brisbane, and he still makes the kids happy on his daily stroll through the zoo. Although you see him less and less these days.

The RSPCA is not an animal rights organisation. They are an organisation for assisting animals in distress through injury, neglect or cruelty.

The animals are all wearing bandages because the RSPCA is supposed to help animals in need - ie: injured, neglected, victims of cruelty, etc.

Given secular fascism that riddles TV nowadays, they probably wouldn't be allowed to play it because of the religious content: the song is "All things bright and beautiful", a Christian hymn. No doubt someone would be offended!
