Not really. He just felt genuinely upset that they are messing with his friend who just so happens to be a little girl. If you ask me, I feel the same way Ralph is feeling. Trust me, I love tits & ass as much as the next guy, but I have my limits. I hated what the bad guys did to Vanellope.
So Vanellope's character is basically: SHE WANTS TO GROW UP REALLY FAST & HATES BEING CALLED A CHILD. In Wreck it Ralph, she was in the Sugar Rush game. In Ralph Breaks the Internet, she was tired of Sugar Rush and wanted to stay in the Slaughter Race game.
Dude, that is awesome! Thank you for inviting me to voice as Vanellope! Everyone did great and it shows you brough so much effort in creating the funnest and ambitious animated short yet!

You guys did an amazing job with this animation. The voices of both Ralph and Vanellope really fit them, story was interesting, and animation was clean and fluid. Had fun all the way through. You should be really proud of this masterpiece you have bestowed upon the internet !
This has a good message, good voice work and is well animated all things considered , but it would have benefited from picking a single direction. Either going with a wholesome story for the whole family, or an adult-oriented parody with adult themes. I don't think mixing the two works very well. The way Ralph and Vanellope interact with adult themes feels very awkward. Vanellope acts like an innocent little kid, which is uncomfortable on it's own, while Ralph's attitude towards sex seems inconsistent: he frequents a strip club but is pretty much ignoring the sexy barbarian ladies in the lewd game. So is he a regular adult man with corresponding desires or not? And if the latter, doesn't it make his friendship with Vanellope strange, considering that they must logically have completely different interests? And what about Vanellope herself? Why is she defined by how she looks in her game? The whole first movie was about how the appearances and roles of characters in their games and their personalities are two very different things. The cartoon raises all of these distracting questions with the way it is written. So, to summarize, I think it would have been better to either make an in-character family friendly cartoon, or to show them as a pair of developed adult personalities and let it be an adult-oriented parody. There's of course an option that could make having it both ways work, but that would mean going into dark comedy and basing the jokes on the distress these innocent characters feel when confronted with adult themes or the jarring juxtaposition of the two.
I appreciate your critique, especially on the characters, but this is meant to be a more adult oriented parody compared to my previous animations. With some scenes uncensored on Newgrounds, this video won't be suitable for everyone.
@@ScoBionicle99 I think you misunderstood the critique here man, part of it is that your approach doesn't quite hit the right notes an adult parody should. again, it probably woulda helped to have the characters react more innocently to the goings on than they did. ralph frequenting a secret stripper bar was strange.
@@IAMFANTROLL I should have gone more in depth with my previous comment after looking through the critique some more. In the case of Ralph, going back to what ser6jvolk said about the character, Ralph wasn't ignoring the Domination Domain ladies, actually. He was tempted by them in one scene, while he knows they are viruses at the same time. He loves women, so to me, him going to an adult oriented bar isn't as strange in comparison. That being said, I do understand where he's coming from with his critique. Having a single direction could have worked out for the story more, but whether or not these points will come off as jarring to someone will depend on the viewer.
@@ScoBionicle99 I've reflected a bit on my thoughts after having seen your cartoon and I think I can finally give feedback on the story in a meaningful way. Of the two storylines you had going on: a cautionary story about kids' game characters confronted with the dangers of adult games and a relationship story about Vanellope being suffocated by Ralph acting overprotective; you mostly developed the latter, the relationship story, but you left some parts of the cautionary adventure as well. Te truth is that they don't mesh that well. An example of bad synergy: Ralph doesn't veto Vanellope playing the game after he finds out it's for adults, this is odd considering later developments (but you needed them to play to progress the cautionary story). It's hard having a story about legitimate danger also be a story about being overprotective of someone, because there the protection seems warranted rather than stifling. When Vanellope gets hurt in the game, she's seriously hurt. It doesn't seem like Ralph's being overprotective there, it looks like he's objectively right to make her take a break. So when Vanellope goes out of control at the bar and Ralph stops her for her own good again, it doesn't look like an escalation of suffocating care on Ralph's part, but seems that Vanellope is being unreasonable again. So Vanellope comes off as a brat and not a child rebelling for independence when she takes off for the game (but you needed Vanellope to go back to the dangerous game for the cautionary story to progress). This makes Ralph realization that he's stifling her odd: he didn't do anything wrong up to that point, his concern was always warranted. The ending is a fantastic culmination of the cautionary story, except you barely developed the villain or the danger he represents, all the development and conflict up to that point has to do with the relationship between the heroes, so the viewer is mostly invested in seeing the virus defeated from the viewpoint of the relationship story, which was weakened by the writing introduced to progress the cautionary story. Hope this helps you gain some insight into my opinion, and allows you to understand whether the issues I presented are legitimate or not.

This video was a masterpiece. How does it not have at least a million views? Also Ralph is really a good person, He may be supposed to be a villain game character and be bound by that like other game villain characters, But he is a true hero. It's sad that video game characters in the Wreck-It Ralph universe are forced to be who they are programmed and intended to be, and if they don't there could be consequences. Both Ralph and Vanellope and all video characters deserve freedom. So ralph will no longer be forced to be a villain and be a good person with no consequences like how he always wanted.
