The typical German football warrior ! He got the face , the hair , this kind of computer intelligence , the fight spirit , the shooting style , the brawler attitude ! Like Kahn , schweinsteiger , matthaus …
Incredible! I ve been watching football videos since early youtube days, and yours are one of the best - so nicely selected and edited, so much legend and style combined! Truely great work!!
In England we talk about Roy Keane, Graeme Souness Patrick Veira and Seven Gerrard. World class players but Stefan Effenberg was i feel better then all of them. Only player that comes to mind that might be equivalent in England is Bryan Robson.
One of the best German centre midfielders i've watched playing. Although i've watched only his Bayern stint and not his younger years. Very skilled, tactically excellent, determined, with great long balls, super teamwork, patience and the typical deutch high-motor attitude. Personal best moment his free kick against Dynamo in Kiev, so technical, impossible to stop. That Bayern team could have won the CL, but the football gods had other plans. Thanks for the another great vid Barbosa.

The last classic German playmaker or 10. He was definitely special....a real fighter with incredible passing abilities, eye for his teammates and he never seemed nervous when he had to finish. Also did a lot of defensive work when needed...gave orders like a captain.
lol . Toni Kroos is a better and more gifted playmaker than Effenberg ! More so than his great football qualities der Effe will be remembered for his quarrelsome asshole character . I would rate Michael Ballack higher as well.
@@lws7394Why are we talking about Toni Kroos? This video is about Stefan Effenberg. Two completely different types of players....Kroos is a holding midfielder that plays deep...Luka Modric is the playmaker in that team. Ballack was a box to box 8....not a playmaker. Have you even seen Stefan Effenberg play? I doubt it....
@@Raydensheraj Effenberg had the nr 10, but given the style of Bayern and Germany in the day, he would usually play from a deeper position. That's how I remind him at Bayern play and that is what I see back from footage The nr 10 is out of fashion nowadays and playmaking is shared with deeper players. At Real by Kroos and Modric. Kroos a DMF? lmao. He is not a traditional 10, but surely not a holding midfielder! He always had players behind him doing that: Schweini, Kramer, Casemiro, Goretzka, Camavinga ...
I kinda preferred the older game the physicality element is just more satisfying to watch. Shoulder to shoulder. I think the game is more technical these days and about covering distances as opposed to moments of magic. That’s why haaland is my favourite player to watch over mbappe.
@@PaulMartin-ut9lj I think Keane had the better touch, grounded passing game and ball retention still, and could have scored even more goals if not for his role to influence his team from deep. Effenberg was deffo the better creator, long passer and dribbler however. And finally, tackling, intercepting and defensive positioning are football skills too, and Keane had those in spades over Effenberg to the point where he did excellently as a CB sometimes. So it's hard to say.
IMHO much better player than David Beckham. Not only did he possess long range accuracy with passes and shots he was also physically superior as a player.
Vastly superior to Beckham. Effenberg was a proper midfield general who could the tempo of a match with his passing, offer a goal threat going forward and contribute defensively.
Why are you even comparing them, is it because they both have long blonde hair? One is a cm the other is a right midfield. One has a set pieces and crossing speciality the other one is a fighter. You should compare Effe with Roy Keane etc
Khan, J.Jeremies, Scholl, Effenberg, Basler, Jancker and Matthäus at Bayern Munich at the same time it was crazy They were all germans "Peaky Blinders".
Up there with the best. But played before social media and RUclips. The German league wasn't broadcast here in England at all at the time. He was better than both Leane and Viera and proved it in direction competition with them.

Late answer but Hermann Kaltz was based on Hamburger SV legend Manfred Kaltz who usually played as right back (while Hermann Kaltz is a midfielder in Captain Tsubasa) and was a central piece of the squad that won the clubs one european cup (predecessor of UCL). Karl-Heinz Schneider meanwhile was based on Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, one of the greatest strikers/forwards of the 1980s before he became a Bayern Munich CEO.

David Beckham? He’s better than zidane, ballack, figo, any midfielder Germany has had since lothar.
different league, Beckham completely overrated.
Ya no existen jugadores como este. Que privilegio haber vivido los 90!
Courage, bravery and a great playmaker creator!

The one player that I would put in the same class as Davids and Keane in terms of a real midfield dynamo
he was better than both. His game was more complete, especially offensively.
