As a Celtic fan I hated to see him play against us .. but, what a player he was!! Def one of the best ever to play in Scotish football & Rangers were VERY lucky to have him as long as they did.

I believe Michael is rightly regarded as one of the best players of all time even as a Dane. There is a Football's Greatest episode about Michael Laudrup.
Over the course of 30 years we had Willie Johnston, Tommy McLean, Davie Cooper, Ted McMinn, Mark Walters, Pieter Huistra and Brian Laudrup. All great to watch, but Cooper and Laudrup the most special of the two. They'd take games where Rangers were struggling and just turn on the style. Thank you to the lot of them.

Brian was more important to the Danish team than his brother because he was more aggressive. Michael was the more talented one but the Danish team was not good enough well in the 80s they were but it was before Brian was on the team. We adore both of them

Michael Laudrup was my favourite player when I was a kid but had a soft spot for Brian. He had so much ability. A pacier more direct version of Michael(not quite as smart tho.. altho no one was). Brian could/should have had a great career as a key player for one of the top European clubs(La Liga, Serie A, PL). It was a shame it didnt work out at Bayern(started gr8 but then injuries) or Milan(foreign player rule). He really shud have been a regular for one of those for 10+yrs. I was so shocked & disappointed when he went to Rangers as, even tho they were better back then, the Scottish league was still a massive step down for someone of his ability/potential(same for Gazza). He was far too young to go there. He got a bit forgotten once he went and by the time he left he wasnt at the same level. Its good to see so many people remembering him as a true great coz on his day he was World class. Talent wise he was one of the best but his mentality let him down at times. Hence why he went to the Scottish league at only 24/25.

A world class genius and phenomenon, who possessed all the gifts and potential of his older brother (one of the greatest in history), but his psyche was a bit too fragile and he didn't enjoy the game if it became all too competitive, so that's clearly the major reason why he isn't considered quite "up there" with his fellow genius brother.
