You're not even dedicating an entire full-length episode to the legendary Match Game? Seriously, the fuck? That needs to be its own stand-alone episode, in the main series! Awesome video, Captain and Sarah! Mr Rayburn was an incredible host. It's going to be very hard to find anyone who can pull off Match Game like he could. At least they kept most everything in tact. Don't need another disaster.
On the subject of unexpected game show combinations like MG/HS Hour (which I fully expect ABC to revive any day now), I feel a bit inspired by Nickelodeon's All-Star Game mash-up from '94 or '95. How about a show combining Double Dare and Brainsurge? I'm not too solid on what exactly that might constitute, but the two shows are fairly similar in terms of content, and there's certainly enough slime flowing around the sets of both to warrant a decent revival. Come on, Nick, let the slime flow!
Wouldn't mind someone bring up the reason for the winnings limit on the CBS daytime game shows (it was their safeguard against what happened on Twenty One, and it was a limit for ALL their game shows for quite some time; Press Your Luck was the show that had the most champions, IIRC, retired for this reason). It was network imposed.
There was another Match Game revival, and pretty recent, too. But I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't seen it, as it was a Canadian production in association with Fremantle. It only lasted for a couple years, and as far as I know, it was only released in Canada and had a panel of Canadian comedians. Unfortunately, it was often more miss than hit with the jokes. However, even more obscure (at least to Anglophones) was the French-Canadian version, from which the English-Canadian version spun-off from, and lasted for six years.
I agree about Alec Baldwin. He does try too hard and it comes off fake, and on a couple of occasions kind of disturbing. I wonder if you'll touch the third revival, To Tell The Truth? I don't know why they didn't just air that on Sunday with the other two and Celebrity Family Feud. It's Sunday. You have four hours when there isn't a sporting event running long instead of the usual three.
14:56 that would be Richard Dawson who eventually got his own show, but not before hosting match game for a bit then he went to host the feud. How would a 20-somthing furry know something like this? I have my sources
What was the point of the first half of the video? You said yourself that you already have a ton of content about Pyramid. It felt like unnecessary filler.
