In the comics there is a side story to this. To think that this whole time Boba Fett was standing on a far away ledge and could have killed him with a sniper blaster. And he refused to do so. Boba does have morals.

That's what I love about the final decision in this game. If you choose to kill him like you really want to, you die and you and the rebels lose and he lives, if you choose the light side you and Juno end up together and you are finally free
That's the thing with canon villains sadly... Though I think the decision was unique and pretty well planned out in connection to the true film hexology. Like in Metro 2033, kill the dark ones or not, the sequel still chose death.

Wish they were able to make the third one though. Sticking to the original 'trilogy system' like with the films and at the level Disney would never be able to reach even if they were all taught by George Lucas himself. I believe that's the intention for the Fallen Order games too.
@@agama5538 There was supposed to be a third one. There were some rumours that it would be co op and Starkiller and Vader would've made an uneasy alliance in order to stop The Emperor's plan of replacing Vader.

They were trying to show off the Skywalker lineage Force-heal ability and failed as horribly as their character design.
Many people can and have tried to justify the final trilogy to win me over, but the fact is: They deleted previously canon characters for a money scheme in the form of 'legends' and they chose to create Rey (Immediately knows Jedi without picking up a book and struggling like heroes should) and Ben (Grandaddy issues) instead of Luke junior, Han's three kids and the return of both Darth Maul and Darth Talon.
I cried when Juno and Starkiller reunited again. Especially in the novel that made it so much more epic.

@@penny1545 same scene but from Starkillers point of view. In essence, the novel adds more detail to the scene, giving it more impact. The books are cheap and not too long if you want to waste an afternoon
It would be nice for Juno to be in Rebels. It would be cool to also have Starkiller in Rebels, I could understand why he wouldn't though.

There was talk about Galen being in Rebels, but they decided against it.
Disney wouldn't because over powered characters that upset the balance scares them. "We must have a world where everyone is equally weak." Hence the removal of characters like the aforementioned Starkiller and planet eater Darth Nihilus.
(If you don't believe me just remember how easily the big villains get ousted in the last films. I.E. Sidious and Snoak who had five minutes of screen time.)
To all clueless people... Light side ending tells a story of original Starkiller where Vader was lying to him and clones were a fail of experiment. Only Dark Side ending tells a story of successfull cloning process where indeed you were a clone. It was designed to give YOU the player a dark/light feelings based on your choice.

So your choice alters the past? That's quite a confusing way to write branching stories. If you let choices alter the past, then you don't just alter the "ending" , but the whole story - you don't get to see how your choice affects the world. It implies that the future is predetermined by your past and your "choice" is meaningless.
Starkiller is confirmed dead in the light side ending of Force 1 by both Vader and Sidious. You are a clone in Force 2 the entire time, only with Marek's force ghost that has all his memories. This assists in the fact that he is the only one that worked. With the Dark side ending they just rewrote a few things to show that only 2 clones worked though the other has no thoughts of his own and is basically an organic machine designed to follow Vader's orders.
Come on with a cliffhanger like that they have to make force 3

honestly the entire game felt more like an extended epilogue to Force unleashed 1 than a game of its own
The entire Starkiller story is still my favorite Star Wars story of all time.

Im late but, I read somewhere that in the light side ending, he is the real Galen, so there were no clones and Vader was messing with him. But in the Dark side, the clones were real.

Left Field Hottake: Rey's parents should have been Juno and Starkiller (or Galen Marek if you wanna retcon some stuff) I can't remember if it was a podcast or an interview but I think it was Cinafix' Empire Strike Back rewatch, that Sam Witwer said he'd like to think that the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice and the events of Force Unleashed would canonically be exaggerated tales of events, like maybe SOME stuff was true, but Vader getting his hand cut off and captured probably wasn't.
And in that spirit, It would have been interesting if they incorporated part of that into Rey's story, at least as much as Palpatine having secret clones of HIMSELF and one of them escaping, going into hiding with rey's mom, and then abandoning her while getting conveniently murdered.
Palp (or whatever BBEG) saying tales of Starkiller were exaggerated and he was basically proto-Kylo Ren, but it didn't work because he fell in love and turned. AND HAVE THAT POTENTIALLY PARRALELLE MORE with Rey's relationship with Ben, idk!? I'm not a Reylo, but if you're gonna do it, might as well make it make sense.
Don’t ever compare Galen With Kylo! Galen would destroy him and he has a much better story 😂! I would love if they made him Canon though! He is my favorite Jedi/Sith

Gotham Savior it was canon at one point. I believe they changed it and replaced it with the Rebels tv show.

ok, year old bump but, the Dark Clone was instructed to appear if Vader was in danger, and had orders to always stay cloaked. Starkiller spared Vader, so the clone didn't appear and try to fight the OG Starkiller.

There are less missions in that game compared to the first one. Only 7 in the second sequel and 12 in the first episode.
That was my only gripe between 1 and 2. The length of the game, mission wise.
But TFU1 Also repeated a lot more sections and locations while TFU2 only had 2 repeating levels

How do both endings differ so drastically?
Force unleashed 3 should have been the Star Killer that appears in the dark side ending saving Vader.
So in the dark side ending, did she lose the will to live? Ya know, pulling a padme.

For those wondering where the Dark clone is in this ending. Think about it! Kota said they were taking him to a SECRET REBEL BASE for questioning. In the dark side ending Vader was going to die. Now the clone can gain more information because Vaders life isn't at risk.

I did the Dark Side and was eminently disappointed, why is Dark Forces 2 the only one with a dark side ending that works out well? This ending is not congruous with the dark side ending. Pissed there are extra dark side missions only on the Xbox and not PC. Also....THEY CAPTURED VADER? And that's it? Disney bought it and deleted it from canon? WTF! Such a great game, better than the first one but it was so short!
One thing that has to happen in TFU3 would be Fett attacking Starkiller while they're still on this ship, before they can get Vader to Dantooine. If Vader knew where the Rebel Base had been, he'd have told the Emperor and had it destroyed.
I am willing to bet that Juno was laying there with small hope during the fight and Clonekiller being alive (getting stabbed in the ds ending would cause her to lose the will to live) helped her to gather enough hope and will to kiss him.
So mad I chose the Dark Side ending!

I literally finished this game in like 5 hours. Way too short and the environments get really repetitive and boring. It began to feel more like a chore than a game. I'd like a third entry, but we all know that's not happening.
