@Sauce senpai Yep, it's so bizarre how nothing scares her except for loud bangs and pops. Considering how young she was at the time of being in Kuwait during the Gulf War it's somewhat surprising that she has that fear as you would expect she couldn't possibly remember it, but that is probably an internalized stress partly from the fear and stress her parents felt with her and while she can't remember those things she can remember how such noises scared her parents and how she felt that.
For anyone curious, the reason for fish and chips on Friday is a Catholic thing, but most Australians only do it on Good Friday. It is a really popular takeaway food though so another reason is because Fridays are a day a lot of Australians tend to go out/get takeaway. At least this is my experience, but for others it might be different. It felt so weird to see my country from an outside perspective, like when they said Brisbane wasn't a big tourist spot haha, a lot of Aussies go there as a party destination, some people even call it Brisvegas because it is like our own Las Vegas

They may miss steamed rice and kimchi, but refreshingly they don't mention it and that makes their trip seem more like a fun adventure than a longing for the familiarity of home.
They are so chill around the ibis haha, we actually call them bin chickens because nobody likes them and they usually hang around all the bins so they smell really bad...they are a massive meme at my university
