Syntac you got it right that Hati and Skoll are the children of Fenrir, another fact is that skoll chases the sun to devour it and Hati does the same for the moon and in Norse myth the lunar and solar eclipse’s were believed to be skoll or Hati finally catching the sun or moon and eating it and immediately throwing them up when the eclipse was over
It's nice that this map has the progression line instead of just collecting the artifacts and some stuff. I can imagine a series on this map might take a while. Yay!
so i figured out how the fenrir level works, it's a 100% efficiency tame from your server's mad level, so a 180 max level would yield a 270 fenrir etc.
In Norse mythology Hati and Sköll are the two wolves that chase the sun and moon, and near the beginning of Ragnarok they catch up and eat the sun and moon. Also Fenrir or the Fenris Wolf was chained up as a prisoner with Gleipnir, a chain made of impossible things that was unbreakable. On the day of Ragnarok the three roosters(?) of Yggdrasil crowed and set all the prisoners of the nine worlds free, including Fenrir.

Considering that there is literally helms deep on this map, I think it is safe to assume that the black lava castle in the dragon arena is also inspired by Tolkiens mithology, specifically the Morannon, the black gate of Mordor
In case anyone was wondering what the world bosses are from in Norse myth. Beyla is the Norse goddess of bees and a servant of Freyr. Sköll and Hati are the sons of Fenrir and grandsons of Loki and are the giant wolves that chase the sun and moon, during Ragnarök Sköll eats Sol and Hati eats Mani. Steinnbjorn is a norse name and Bjorn means bear, cant find a mythological counterpart but may have been thought of because it is said that the Norse gods prefer to take the form of a bear as disguises when visiting Midgard.
This map gets me super excited for ARK 2 because I think one of the biggest things ARK is missing right now is a progression system and having World bosses on the map is a great way to add more of that
Here ya go syn, In Norse Mythology, Sköll and Hati are the sons of Fenrir and grandsons of Loki. Sköll and Hati chase the horse-drawn chariots of Sól and Máni, the personified sun and moon respectively, every day and night until they finally catch them, marking the onset of Ragnarök.
If I’m correct, with what you assumed to be fenrir’s kids, I think you’re right and apparently in mythology one chases the sun and the other chases the moon, and when then catch them that’s meant to be the true ‘ragnarok’

Hati and Sköll (or Skalli/Skoll/Skøll/Skjøll) are children of Fenrir and Gyge (a giant). Sköll is chasing the chariot of the sun goddess Sol. Hati chases the chariot of the moon god Mani. So they are chasing the sun and the moon across the sky and are said to catch them at Ragnarök.
steinbjorn is nothing special in Norse mythology, just a mythical ice bear. Beyla is just another mythical creature, though she is married to Byggvir, an unremarkable god we know little about. Hati and Skoll, however, are very important. They are the sister and brother wolves of the sun and the moon respectively. They chase Sol and Mani, the sun and moon, and eventually catch them, triggering the start of Ragnarök. All of them, including Byggvir, are children of Freyr (Yes, Beyla married her brother, its mythology), and serve his bidding while he is still chained, and release him when Ragnarök begins.

Skol and muti are the two wolves who chase the sun and moon which also take the form of animals as two horses Also in north mythology fenrir is blinded by chains until ragnorok so the chains binding the obilisk is a neat detail
In Norse mythology, Sol and Mani were the Sun and Moon, or more precisely, the beings who drove the Sun and Moon in their courses through the sky. Sol and Mani were sister and brother, and both were fair and beautiful.
Skoll and Hati chased the sun and the moon. When they catch them, it signals the start of Ragnarok. If I'm not mistaken they are indeed the children of Fenrir
I did Alpha Fenrirsulfr with a 150 wild lvl cap (official settings i guess) and got a lvl 225 Fenrir with perfect stats (35 points in everything except movement speed and melee, 0 points in movement and 49 points in melee) i guess you get the level you would be able to get when taming a max level creature with maximum taming efficiency, depending on your settings, also you can use mutagen on it as on any other tame (increasing health, stam, weight and melee damage by 5 points) but you cant clone it
Hati and skoll are the kids off fenrir or however you spell his name, I believe they are the sun and moon eternally chasing eachother, or they are eternally chasing the sun and moon, it’s one of those two and that’s why they’re that color, it’s a neat reference
Hatti and Skoal are the children of Loki who where turned in wolfs by Oden as a punishment to Loki from what I remember but it has changed over the years
Like most mythologies, Sköll and Hati really depends on the version. The one I know is that they're sons (or daughter and son) of Fenrir who tried to free their father but failed, Odin sent them into the sky to chase the sun and moon as Sol and Mani had stopped moving locking the earth in either eternal day or night depending on where you were located; however by Odin doing so Sköll and Hati are fated to one day catch the sun and moon devouring them sending the world into eternal darkness and winter and then Ragnarok will begin.
Hati and Sköll are the wolves who chase after the sun and moon, can't exactly remember who chased who, but they're supposed to catch them in the battle of Ragnarok and basically shroud the world in darkness with it.
they took the name managarmr from norse mythology (managarmr was another name for hati in norse mythology) its kind of cool that they used hati as a boss
