Shimmy you are awesome! Your enthusiasm is what drew me to watching you one day when you did a video wearing a shirt with HARVARD on and your non-american accent hahaha. That was years ago and now I'm finally diving in as the time is right. Covid definitely changed my plans - for 4 years, but now things are settled. Carry on Shimmy!
Nice!!!! Good luck. You got this :D
A BIG achievement with many more to come. You are the best. You work hard and do not pull any punches. Thank you for all you do, Shimmy.
@@TINYQUBIT thank you so much! Really appreciate that
Awesome! I can learn a lot of things from your video! Thanks for sharing all!
Thanks a bunch Shimmy! really resonate with your vibe...
so happy! Thanks for watching!
Your style and tips won me over - I will hit that subscribe button. There are SO MANY influencers out there - my head is spinning. Your tips seem to make a lot of sense though...I'm definitely going to implement your advice.
Clean and simple, great advice Shimmy. Found you about a month ago and I've been enjoying the videos.
The mock up vid is especially great. Well worth a watch. I'll be adapting your advice for use in Photoshop.
All the best with the climb to 100k.
Nate
I agree - could have saved myself a LOT of $$ by just following his advice when i began all this!
thank you Shimmy, as always great video!
My pleasure! glad you enjoyed it
New subscriber here…thanks so much for sharing your expertise!
thank you!!! :D
New subscriber! Very informative. Thank you.
nice!!! thank you
Thank you so much shimmy
you're welcome!
I wanna be here for your 100,000 Party!🥰🥰🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈
Shimmy, would you consider doing an updated Facebook ads tutorial. The older ones were before they removed audience insights. I remember doing Facebook ads black in the day too, but with all the changes I would love a refresher. I love your style and honesty so I would be interested to see how you set up your ads and target your audience, thanks.
I hadn’t realized that I was not subscribed. I just did so you’re now a wee bit closer to 100k.
Just want to say thank you for the videos started shopify pod store last week got my first sales today all orders were for 3 shirts at a time. As was doubting if my designs were any good but pats on back to you 🎉
Woohoo!!! Nice one. That’s amazing. Can’t wait to see where this goes for you
@@shimmymorris1 thankyou. Slight concern I’m guessing you use print supplier through shopify there are only two Uk based and print clever has rating of 6.4 have samples but hearing bad things anyone you can recommend? I am loving the energy and passion for the whole process hence 5.40am slept two hours mind racing with things to do can’t get your face out my head with the amount of your videos I’ve watched 😂😂😂
About #4: I always worry that if I try to sell in a niche that I know nothing about, this will be immediately obvious to people do know the niche (i.e. prospective customers) and that I would come across as fake. Thoughts?
Can you do a video on what print on demand print services you use (Printify, printful, etc) or which marketplaces you recommend to a beginner that offers the best customization, features, or usability? (Redbubble, teepublic, merch on demand, etc). Is it better to build a shopify site even if your plan is to offer a broad range of design subject matter that is not cohesive? Thanks in advance!
I agree whole-heartedly with 4 out of 5.
#4 as you said, people will not like. Well, there is a reason for that. While you are 100% correct about sales will make you happy, the fact is that selling something you enjoy and are passionate about allows you to market it better and design it better. I can't sell something that I know nothing about just because data says it's trending. The truth is that I am more likely to buy something from someone that can passionately tell me why it's awesome than a stranger that knows nothing about it.
Also, on a sidenote... and I say this as a fan of your channel and videos. I've subscribed for a long time. Your videos lately seem more attacking and negative. When before you were positive and uplifting. It was refreshing. Now I'm sadly not as interested. I really hope you find that version again. But in the end, everyone has to do what works best for them.
And to end on a positive note. The mockup advice is spot on!
There is a reason for choosing your hobbies and interests if those are marketable: You need to understand your target and have insights about them to design products that they will buy. Marketing companies can spend millions on getting info, but if you have that about a certain group of people with shared interests, then you have part of the job done there. What kind of designs would gen-x dads buy? I don't know. A marketeer might suggest using a focus groups, polls, and other research methods to find out! Meanwhile, if you know a lot about a hobby and the people that is interested in it (like demographics), then you will have a good idea of what kind of designs you can sell to that people
Hi, great video! I have subscribed. May I ask if you use swiftPOD for U.K. customers or U.S.? thank you
No 4 is my challenge! It's hard to motivate myself to design for, and sell in, niches i couldn't give a f about 😢 similarly I don't sell t shirts cos I don't wear them except in the gym!
Hmm, yea this is where separating yourself from the niche would come in handy
@@shimmymorris1or selling gym t-shirts...
@@mkingscott I struggle with enthusiasm there also 😂
Two things I don't agree with here ..firstly you. Have ppl selling custom wall art that making 1000s each month . so to say it's not worth it (basically) is not right second is the mock up I believe having a person wearing the shirt works well . I do agree with u that we should get unique mock ups tho
would love to hear what that's based on... but I don't need everyone to agree... important to have your own researched ideas. I didn't say wall art wasn't successful... i said t-shirts was the most... which it is.
A person wearing a shirt is good but not for your main Etsy listing photo and not for a Google ad image either. Google prefers to see just the product, no background distractions whatsoever.
What if I want to sell shirts in other colors other than the ones you sell from Printify? I love purple and would love to sell shirts in that color for example.
Go for it! Don’t see why not. Lots of colours could sell. I just know what works for me ☺️
Shimmy, I sell the Bella Canvas 3001 tshirts - I haven't tried the Gildan 6400. Does it have the softness of the Bella canvas 3001?
I think so. For the price difference I found the Gildan to be more worth it
I personally think the Glidan feels like a heavier T than the Bella Canvas. 5.29 vs 4.2 oz. While that doesn’t seem like much I would get samples of both to feel/wear them. Both shirts are nice. I prefer to wear the BC 3001. It’s subjective though, isn’t it? I
Do you have a tutorial on amazon merch? I tried to search your videos but didn't see one. If you don't, would you be able to make one please? Thank you
sure, a tutorial in what sense... making designs? researching designs? The concepts are quite transferable
@@shimmymorris1 Yes! LOL! Any of those would really help!
@@roxanned69 I have a bunch on those topics ☺️
Hey Shimmy! 1st comment!
nice!!
🔝
Hey @Shimmy your Skool channel is accepting new subs?
Yup. The free one will be accepting new people on Monday 😀
I’ve had a lot of success using AI to generate graphics for my POD shirts; but I think I’m making very different styles of graphics then most
oh nice! Ye it can def work if done right
My Alexa forgives you, Shimmy! ;)
haha
Hey Shimmy great content , your are devoting your efforts to create such amazing videos but your thumbnails could be better cuz thumbnails play vital role to increase the CTR and channel growth so I would like to make thumbnails for you ,
so let me know your response ,Thank you
im ok thanks
Ironically my art prints sell more than my tshirts 😅
Bro think he Alex hormozi with that thumbnail
Someone needs to get off Hormozi's d#*k😂😂😂
one can only dream!
when designing t-shirts, we need to look at the finished product and ask ourselves, "Is this something I would buy?" If you wouldn't buy it, why would a potential customer? I also apply this rule to my KDP books before uploading.
Hey Shimmy , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
im good thanks
Shimmy, I like your videos very much but I wish you would give some more practical advises, new great tools that you use on your own, some Tutorials etc. Because whenever I see one of your videos I feel that most of the things you explain you already explained in multiple other videos before. I would like to have my comment understood as constructive criticism as I generally am a big fan of your channel and your courses
Thank you. I do appreciate the constructive criticism.
This video is practical advice though.
I also made a tutorial mockup last week which is also what you’re talking about.
A lot of the tutorials I keep for our Print on Demand Hub Community as it makes sense to keep it all there.
Over time I’ll add more videos.
But what would you like to see?
I try not to use too many tools as I think most of them are a waste of money.
