WHAT HAS CHANGED?
It’s been 2 years since we launched the crowdfunding campaign to Help Save Hugo. Back then, I, Lisa, had been taking care of Hugo on my own for about 1.5 years and both Hugo and I were in an unbearable and very pressing emergency situation - with Hugo’s life on the line.
Exactly 750 days have been passed since then.
There have been periods where we/I have been pretty active online, but also months - or even a year - without any signs from us. It has been heartwarming to feel and see how many people have continued to show interest in how Hugo is doing and even continued their support.
I can finally tell you everything.

This hits home. Currently infusing IV Antibiotics for Lyme disease. Can barely move, but we keep fighting. Hugo has been through so much pain. I hope he knows he’s not alone. Love from US ❤️

I hope HUGO is going to get well soon. I live in America and have suffered with lymes desease for along time now around twentynine years I've been eating pain meds for along while now I pray that HUGO'S recovery goe's well and recovery is soon . lots of love from your new friend Kevin.Roberson

Edit: I read the update and left a comment, and I hope you know that I meant every word with all of my heart! So very happy to hear this wonderful news. You overcame so much, and with that determination, Hugo is so very loved and blissed to have you. (I no longer say blessed because words have meaning and blessed truly breaks down to “be less”, but BLISS is only good.) And I wish for you to be full of it, bliss, to give you the strength to continue your fight and to see the light, to see the possibilities, that you can now fight and work towards. Never give up! You are a wonderful, strong woman with an amazing tenacity to fight for what’s right! Dare to dream, because I believe in the many amazing things you can continue to do! You deserve every bit of help and more on this journey, and you deserve to be the one to shed light on the things that are broken in the systems ad to be the one KNOWN in history for helping to create the change. I hope you know this..I hope your inner dialogue is nothing but good because you deserve to love yourself as much as you have fought for and loved Hugo. You will give so many others hope! 💓💓💓

@@hugorijpstra.netherlands I'm currently trying to get things diagnosed I suffer with alot of conective tissue problems with my spine rapidly over 2 years and we think it could be Lymes or bartonella but unsure at this time as my doctor refuses testing

Terrible.. no update about Hugo..
Crying and complaining about Dutch social security system but no update…. They collected money.. after that… nothing I hope not but this really smells bad… I don’t trust this woman.
I’m wondering the same.
