Showing the connectors under the plastic cover, what to expect when removing the solenoid, getting oil from the dipstick... all very good instructions... much better than other videos I've watched on how to replace things on cars... I was having hesitation under load when moving up a gear. Felt like timing so I changed out the solenoids and presto worked like a charm. Then later that day the dreaded p0014 showed up, I switched them back out and it went away. Put them back in and p0014 again. My question is would this be caused by a stretched timing chain or do you think one of the new solenoids might be bad.
Do you have to disconnect the battery before you do this? I didn’t see you guys say it in the video but just wanted to double check. Also love your guys videos! Had helped me save a lot of money replacing stuff myself
I just replaced this part on a 2012 Hyundai Sonata, the bolt was too small for a 10 mm Snap-On. I had to use a 'torx' driver to remove it; breaking it loose was not easy.
What about kia rondo 2007 2.4 where would that be located at? My check engine light has been on for a few weeks now. I order ed the part. I just need to install these new ones. Thank you for the video!
My Hyundai Elantra's VVT solenoid connection is broken.. Means its not connected but still car is running smoothly, but i noticed one issue that my Transmission wouldn't shift from "Automatic D" to manual gear.
It gets really hard to start ,lots of cranking time like 4 sec and icon in dash lites up like check eng and anti skid, then your rpm gage doesn't register ,after a few seconds of running stop your engine and start it again ,

Will this clear it up OR do I need to remove it, clean it and reinstall the same valve? Please advise as this code is causing me not to drive it since im scare of it stalling out on the highway
Getting an oil change wouldn't help if the solenoid is still dirty from old oil so even though you got an oil change I should just cleaning them because they're dirty
Just change both of them if engine hard to start mornong and evening,and rpm gage doesn,t register and that you ear a slack in timming chain when after cranking , engine starts
cmalproductions the technician at the dealer said there is only one for both on the 2015 and when I pulled it out it was the same part, just a bit different layout but fit right in perfectly. But seems like my car is doing the same thing so I don’t know

There are two parts one that in the place you’ve shown and also one closer to where you put the oil in at. Do I need to replace bout pieces?

My 2008 entourage makes a noise at startup for about 2-3 seconds. Sounds like bolts in a car coffee jar. Would this fix that problem?

A P0011 code comes up and that means that this is clogged with dirty oil. Which can cause bad issues with the engine.

cmalproductions found it. If you’re facing the engine, it’s on the left side on the back of the engine in front of the fire wall, just down a bit
