    + it’s Europe
    + less expensive than Croatia
    + chill & good looking locals
    + not as over run by tourists as Croatia
    + non-intrusive authorities
    + not so many western tourists
    - lack of food variety
    - lack of goods (furniture, for example)
    - lack of space (along the coast)
    - small so there is a lack of advanced healthcare
    +/- isolated - a long drive from Central Europe or even Belgrade but this also keeps the crowds away

      @@Michael-4 due to being non EU/Shengen it has a more liberal visa regime vis a vis Russia, Kazakhstan, and a bunch of other countries which means there will be more exotic tourists than in CRO where you will get more of the usual Brits, Americans and Germans.

Gosh I wish I were there, as long as there is no threat of war and upheaval as we see in Germany and France because of the oppression against them by the World Economic Forum lunatics. It's amazing that the Russians and Ukrainians etc. are all comfortable in Montenegro given the heating situation that could lead to war in all of Europe. And probably even more amazing that they get along together!

    Kotor is idyllic. Went there for a family holiday a couple years ago. Good food, beer, clean water and good (too hot when I was there) weather. Struggled to connect with any locals though. Driving is a bit hectic on the tight roads around Kotor. Would like to go back.

    24:30 The best play to spend July & August? Really? I could not disagree more. I spent the month of July 2023 in Tivat and I thought I'm going to die from heat exhaustion - 40 degree temperature and high humidity. And I know humidity having lived in Singapore decades earlier. I could not get out of the house until after 6PM. The traffic Jam around Kotor old own was also horrendous. Personally, I think that winter would be a much better time to relax in that area with no tourist or traffic jam. Restaurants around Kotor & Tivat have become very expensive now, not much cheaper than western Europe. And as they mentioned, not many choices unless you're a fan of cevapi. I find that Bosnia-Herzegovina has the best food in the Balkans.

    • @b4bmm
      @b4bmm 5 месяцев назад +2

      You dont need a car if you stay in Kotor you can walk everywhere which is a positive to the area. When I was there it was also hot. Im not sure if it was unusually hot during that summer or it's normal. Thats what that crystal clear cool water is for. Throw yourself into the water from almost anywhere along the road like the locals do. Have to get up early to beat the heat if you want to do hiking during the summer

Good surfing, diving, etc. 2 hours from the mountains that are world heritage sites. Lots of game reserves, with lion, elephant, rhino, Buffalo, etc. This province is probably in the top 10 most beautiful in the world. You can eat out at a very nice restaurant for 2 people at $30.
