I picked up my TBM at LFBT for the transatlantic crossing! First leg LFBT to EGPK done, next leg I am doing now from EGPK to BIRK. This bird deserves the full experience of picking it up where it’s built😎 Good video as always.
Excellent video, as for the landing all you had to do was kick the rudder just before your wheels touched and then applied crosswind component on the ailerons. The wheels touched off axis which is why you had to fight the aircraft. Every flight is a learning curve 👍🏻
Tip for crosswinds: don’t land with a crab angle. Straighten using a combination of rudder and constant input of opposite aileron when you’re abeam the numbers.
A tip for anyone who has this plane and is finding it very difficult to hand fly. There is a check box on the bottom of the 'airframe manager' page that says "simulate control stiffening at speed". With it checked, I noticed I was having to put in a TON of yoke movement to get the plane to respond (the virtual yoke would barely move). With it unchecked, the yoke in the cockpit and my yoke physically move much more in sync and the plane flies much more naturally. 🤘👍
Wow! This video and this sim is amazing. I fly x-plane 11 and I have an older IMac 27 that I bought about 8 years ago and rather outdated for these newer sims, but after seeing this, I am definitely going to think about upgrading.
Love this plane, BUT the one thing that they have really dropped the ball on is how dark the interior is. Even at noon, it's so dark on the panel I can't even see the outline of some of the switches. That is NOT realistic, as I'm a real world pilot, and I've NEVER been in any plane that is that dark in the middle of the day. They need to fix this. Other than that, this aircraft is excellent.

I give this video a 15 out of 10, the landing maybe not so much but it was still 100 times better than mine. Very nice Shane.
