You're the one even you've retired... I was looking a good review before purchace.. of course best video is your's.. Missed you.. I hope you and your family is well.
Great job as always! I'm a real world corporate ATP rated pilot with type ratings in several business jets and a lot of Turbo Prop and turbine aircraft time. Never flew a TBM, but it is has the only autopilot I've seen where the Yaw Dampener is not turned off with the autopilot disconnect button.. this is a "gotcha" and it will bite you every time on landing. I noticed in your video it was still active :-))
When you do your future videos, can you show how to set up the approach when in flight. How to get everything ready for the approach. I followed you throughout the flight but when it came to the approach for some reason my plane flew off track. I had to manually get it back to waypoint ZILED for it to then follow the rest of the waypoints. I'm not sure if I didnt activate the approach at the right time or what happened. Would you also show how to fly a precision approach using approach plates. Maybe how to fly a rnav approach as well. Thank for making great content.
The landing was fine you're too hard on yourself especially as you admitted you hadn't flown it for awhile. It's a cool AC and seems very realistic. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the new 2080Ti. As always great review my friend take care
I would have appreciaited a bit more detail where you had some trouble, because I have the same thing like where the rudder trim is on the tbm. The procedure after take off to join up successfully with the flight plan from the runway heading. Then there was the ILS indications on the PFD. These are key details which it's so easy to puzzle over them I find. Otherwise wonderfully enjoyable and informative. Thanks a lot, a BIG FAN!!
Awesome video once again...loving the graphics appreciate honest feedback on xenviro I'll wait to see if any improvements xp11 needs to get this one in order because scenery immersion is also important in a flight sim....and frame rates...lol, but xp11 is solid
I know this video is 4 years old.. but how did you get the tablet to show info on it in the pilot side door? does that work? because when i click on mine.. it just disappears?
Is the turbulence (at about 15:50) the result of an add-on or does X-Plane 11 do this by default? I've flown this plane on X-Plane and never seem to get that effect.
i am going to take notes here for when i do my TBM videos..my practice landing in this little bird are so so, i have to get used to the low proximity to the ground when landing..
Love that bird! Thanks for sharing xEnviro are using the same technology as MSFS2020?! Apparently they don t know how to use it cause the result is not at all the same 🤔🤔
It's not that they don't know how to use it. It is that xplane was not built with this technology in mind. So they have to work around many technical issues to make it work.
@@Q8Pilot which means more or less the same right? They don t know how to use it in xplane properly. It pisses me off having thrown +60 euro in a product that I can t use due to poor performances. They promise improvement that I still don t see because I use 4K resolution due to my large TV.
@@StefBelgium A couple of things, Xenviro's volumetric clouds are a new thing for flight sims, and it has been getting performance updates (with a big one in the coming update). The biggest fps killer is high AA, and the fact that you run it 4k on a large TV means you should be running no AA. So try running Xplane with no AA, and if you still have FPS issues, either lower your resolution or upgrade your hardware. But nonetheless, xenviro has been making good progress and their performance update that's soon to come should help a lot with the fps. Cheers
@@Saaurier I won t sacrifice my current setting to get 3D clouds where other soft like UWXP gives a real nice renditi9n without sacrificing performance. Even when it was 2D clouds, xEnviro has always been a nightmare!
@@StefBelgium Well to each their own, but I've toned my AA down a notch and I like the way it looks in my Sim, and am looking forward to their performance update. Best part about Sims is that we can adjust it to the way we feel like, cheers
One more glitch..I go to shut off the fuel..my cursor on OFF. I click it and a panel in the floor slides to the right..grrrrr. I have to fuss with the camera to get that prefect little spot that will turn the fuel off. Very irritating.
Hey ! I'm very disapointed. The game crash everytime i fly the TBM :/ I updated it but still crashing, if you have any idea please say because it was working before so no reason
Nice vidz Mr ! too bad you're not using track IR, it brings "life" while flying.....and maybe more external views ? BTW, the TBM starting procedure is touchy, i don't know how your engine was so "friendly (especially during the cold strart, and the high Torque/Rpm part...)
I love your videos, but could you either decrease your voice volume or increase the sim volume during pertinent phases such as start, takeoff, etc. so we can hear the aircraft a little better?
The color correction on the scenery textures appears to be done very poorly; what should be green fields are nearly black, the desert sand at Fresno is dark brown. I feel the color is far more accurate on Forkboy's California.
@@Q8Pilot unfortunately xplane needs huge optimization both for nvidia and amd cards and tbh if they don't do it in a close future, they'll lose a big part of their community to the new one coming...

Hey there Rand, the 2080 Ti has helped quite a bit with xenviro but XP11 is still processor dependent for the most part.
I live in Fresno this is awsome
I didn't see anything wrong with your landing, I thought it was smooth. Nice flight.
Greatly enjoy your videos and appreciate your candid and objective reviews. What are you using for the ATC chatter? X-ATC-Chatter?
Yes I am using X-Chatter.
