This is actually a band, just so happens her name is Dorothy. This is on their third album coming out in April. Check out the songs "Dark Nights" (the video is funny) or" Who Do You Love"
I first heard Dorothy on an ad for a Walking Dead game. Then, I did a deep dive into all of her music. She's terrific. My favorite is Missile. Check out her latest unplugged videos. 😉
As I understand it, "Friends of Dorothy" was just gay slang for being gay, although the American military _thought_ it was an organisation, and wasted a lot of time and taxpayers' money trying to identify and arrest its leader, not realising that she was the girl from Wizard of Oz..
