My friend who hires in the Corporate World will not hire anyone who has a degree that ends with "Studies " won't hire them period.
Adding preferred pronouns to the resume' should also doom it to be shredder fodder. It's very unlikely that people such as these would contribute to a productive, harmonious, task and team oriented work environment.

Candace 🤯 💪👍that is exactly what my husband did. He is a HS dropout, got his GED, went to night school for HVAC while working his day job. We now live in TN where its so much cheaper to live. And hes making just shy of 6 figures. It can be done!!!!
Almost six figures as an HVAC technician?, I would need it to see a tax return to believe that.
@@MrFIRESEAL117I make low 6 figures as a master plumber. I own my own business with no employees. Just me and my van. But I know a few Hvac guys that own their own companies and make wayy more money then me. I dont think you know how much money there is to be made in the trades, kid. Look up earnings of the trades.
Glad to hear. I am a 10th grade drop out. Got my GED in rehab. I had a tough time in my late teens and early 20s. But I changed my life around , went to plumbing school and have owned my own business for almost 4 years now. What's amazing about the trades is anybody can do it and anyone in the trades can eventually own their own business. Just takes dedication and hard work. I love plumbing and it changed my life. Love the trades and love to hear the stories of other tradesmen.
@sjohnson5813 well kid, I've done carpentry, and I've been an aircraft machinist for 14 years. I know a good deal about the "Trades," and while I know it's possible as an HVAC operator to make six figures, it's not common, Which is why I asked for a tax return. Are you willing to show yours?

I actually ended my last relationship due to not being able to handle all the delusional stuff.
Gender Studies, Queer Studies, Native Studies. etc are named so because they do not meet the requirements of more serious disciplines in the humanities- the History dept looks at the classes and says, "hmm, this is bad history, but maybe the philosophy is ok" the Philosophy dept looks at it and says, "the philosophy is bad but maybe the psychology makes sense" the Psychology dept says, "the psychology is just wrong but maybe the sociology is good" and so on- they Studies meet no specific academic standards but the advocates are too powerful so they got their own departments.
It’s all crosses with sociology and is 100% not bullshit. Or “bad history” it may not cater to you but you don’t have to disrespect people who are working harder than you.

I remember a few older people saying when I was a kid that it wasn't that they were racist, because they sided with segregation, they just felt that once all areas were desegregated, that their once nice and safe communities and family neighborhoods would become violent and dangerous. Most of that has sure come true.

I was told as a kid that id be a loser, white trash, dope head. I went to a trade school. I have zero student loans and I cleared 120k last year. Vs people that i went to high school with, went to college and is now a mgr at a gas station making 30k or a local fast food place making 40k w/100+ in student loans
I heard “gender studies” from the first one and knew all I needed to.

I was that kid,that didn't go to college, but took several trade courses, welding, engineering, electrical, and plumbing, and for 40 yrs. I used all of these when hired as a Metal Fabricater and Installation Consultant, after building for several yrs. my 1st Installation 1978 in Cairo Egypt installing an Aluminum Extrusion Plant, I've worked in over 15 countries on 4 diff.continents,made very good money, I also climbed 1 of the 3 Pyramids for fun until I realized it was illegal but did it anyway, hurt for a week. Bottom line I never went to COLLEGE, figure out a coal and go for it! Don't forget we live in America, anything is possible..🤔😉🇺🇸

My first class at HPU was to learn about gender studies. The comedy of this- I stood up and walked out. I was on a full ride scholarship for basketball and did not care. My time is precious and will not be spent on learning about a disease that I wish not to be brained washed. Universities need to do better and the system is broken. Stephen’s college is also a college that supports LBTQ and encourages it actually. For someone like me I am the minority as a straight woman in today’s society. Someone who does believe in a God and does not wish to have Satan creep in my mind. So much this society has to fix. The time right now is not the time I wish to be apart of.
The fact that she said she has a gender studies course being college, highschool,or even primary school says more than enough . I watched a video today where no one could tell the recorder what Easter was .And another where basic America facts where puzzling to adults and college students . But classes like that exist and are the focus

I joined the Marine Corps right out of high school, deployed to combat zones 3 times, got hurt on my last deployment, medically retired = best decision I ever made!!!! 🤣 And I'd do it all over again if I could, OOHRAH!

She is an incredible intelligent woman and does not believe in these labels and cares about the right. I have suffered an anointing amount of discrimination, sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, and hate for being intelligent and wanting more for myself and life. Being told to humble myself or kill my ego or be patient by universities and so called “leaders” in society. The system is broken. I agree with her, as a first generation, top of my class, and have succeeded at anything I have done- you must put yourself in a position to speak up for yourself and do not let others put you in a box or to allow yourself to think a specific way. Be yourself and keep it pushing!

My grandparents lived through the depression. My grandmother left her abusive 1st husband with her 2 boys, when that was something you didn't do. People in the US have no right to be bitching about anything. We are super privileged & should appreciate what we have & what others before us have been through & gave to us.

Oh there is definitely still a very large inequality between men and women in most aspects of society, Candace is incorrect on this one. I worked 15 years in HR and saw many many times that higher level positions went to men instead of women and that's just one area. There is no problem with feminism, her first comment is that extremists misappropriate things that are good and then because those people yell the loudest they get the most press because our media has always gone for the most dramatic, but that in no way changes the true value of feminism.
Hold on, she keeps saying how great times were before feminism etc.. right?? But if it was so great...why would people have wanted things to change???
