Some people just were not meant to ever be in front of a mic.....or better yet, maybe they're perfect for it....depending on if you wanted them to deliver a message or give you something to laugh about 😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the shout out again. It’s the least I can do. Really enjoy the show . Khloe made the sign bc she’s becoming a fan now too. Keep up the great work and thank you 🙏
Absolutely love this series and been following you since before Episode 1. You definitely showcase IMO the best period in Pro Wrestling in a great way.
I remember being shocked the first time I saw the chair spot in the Raven vs Riggs match when I was 15 and talking about it with friends the next day wondering if it was real as well. Raven was another wrestler who would become one of my favourites during this time and even more so when I first saw his ECW work years later.
What was supposed to happen was after Raven drop toe hold on Riggs , Raven was supposed to recover for a little and then hit the Evenflow DDT and pin and win so their rivalry could lead to Riggs winning at some point and then join The Flock. You can hear how hard Scott Riggs hits the chair
There aren't too many guys that size pulling off Frankensteiners. He is in no way a high-flyer. Come to think of it is this the only time he pulled out some flash? I always see him as Strike, Strike, Lock-up. Then some gimmick like a chair or bat. 5X15 chain link cage... That's the great part of this series being reminded how good some of these guys were. Remember when Kayn didnt have a beer belly? When both HBK's eyes looked the same direction. Vinnie Mac being a whipping boy before Shane.
I'm with you, I remember this Riggs-Raven match too and the subsequent eyepatch so vividly. It's one thing to have all of these vignettes introducing you, it's another thing to give a guy a "career ending" injury in your first match.
…and that was Bret’s last ever match on RAW (it’s hard to take his 2010 run seriously). It was such a joy to relieve his WWF run and look forward to relive his feuds with Sting and DDP.
I always look forward to these Thursday reliving the wars they make the days better and you learn something new that you didn't already know when it comes to feuds and matches.
Mate what can I say, you are amazing. The effort and presentation, the memes and injokes over time. No one has paid tribute to the best era in PW like you. Bravo.
“Brothers” and “Grand Wizard” get me every time. Loved original DX. Rude and Chyna’s face crack me up during “…the n-word.” Also Owen trying to hit Shawn (while on the ‘tron) with the flag is priceless. The small things.
Was listening to a stream and accidentally skipped to another video via my headphones, saw reliving the war was out and went “well this is what I’m listening to now” Great work brother I love your videos
Thank you wrestling bios, i really needed this video today, to get my mind off real life things. More so than i do on any other week. I appreciate your content and dedication to the craft so much more than words can ever describe.
And that's Bret's final Raw match. I remember hearing somewhere that one way to get the belt off of Bret so he wouldn't have to lose it to Shawn, was for him to drop it here to Shamrock and I think if they did that could have worked of they booked correctly. Yeah Shamrock was new but he had that intensity and background that I would totally believed him beating Bret here; heck it wouldn't even have to be clean with Shawn interfering and accidentally costing Bret the title. It would have elevated the fued to the point where it didn't need the title anymore; just these two legitimately wanting to rip each other apart could have been a great way to sell the match.
I have no real interest in today’s wrestling but this series takes me back to the good times. All hail Wrestling Bios! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Are you going to cover Assault on Devils Island?
I had just gotten Internet access a few months prior, and it's crazy how that effected my fandom. I was a diehard fan but I barely paid attention to this Raw episode due to it being pre-recorded. Ah, the good old OLD days before internet... lol
I think that's why I always liked the Steiners, suplex city, hot tag, variety of finishers. ( them being actual brothers, and the collegiate angle is the cherry on the top).
@@jwadewalt You think they'd reach out and maybe try to work with him or something. I've said it on other videos but this channel is the only reason I have even the slightest interest in wrestling still. I'm 31, and I haven't watched it since I was 16 and I literally couldn't care less about it. I just enjoy the nostalgia factor plus the way Wrestling Bios presents with his spot on analysis mixed in with the humour here and there. It's a really good mix.
I loved this version of Jeff Jarrett, it lasted for about a minute before he decided to show up wearing his same old gear with the same old entrance and that was it for this new version.
09:05 - So... at 39 years old, I just realized that the highly raised knee that Triple H performs is in fact the Harley Race Knee. Sometimes, there's just no excuse. XD
When they start having a Thursday night show are you going to cover them . You are doing such a great job with the Monday night war . I would love to see you cover the Thursday night shows .
@@Goomyx1492 yeah I like that . I look forward to seeing his videos every Thursday . If he takes on the Thursday night shows it would give us something to look forward to on Monday 😊
There was a video upload a few months ago. Where the guy running the channel had questions and answers throughout. He’s got no plans to do the Thursday shows, other than talk about how they would impact the Monday show each week. Although Smackdown has been a strong B show throughout its time and had a major impact on the Monday Night War. Thunder was a B show which was all but forgotten about. It was a show no one wanted, except for the executives at Turner Network, who were looking for ratings. There was no real effort put into the show. There was no real competition between the Thursday shows. In my opinion the Thursday shows were a mistake. From a fans standpoint. As much as I loved watching Smackdown back then up until the mid 00s. The problem was over saturation of the market. You had gone from, in the space of 3 or 4 years. One hour Raw and one hour Nitro each week. Along with a PPV each month, by each company. However the In Your House PPVs were much smaller than the bigger PPVs. By 1999, Raw had doubled in length and Nitro had trebled. There was also a 3 hour PPV every month by both companies. Now they also both had 2 “flag ship shows” each week. In hindsight this is when things started to nose dive. It was too much, led to burnout and later on is one of the reasons fans started to stop watching.
The only thing good about week days, is getting to watch the latest episodes of RELIVING THE WAR every Thursday and some Sundays with WRESTLING BIOS... Literally, the only thing and BEST part of my life anymore 😆 Thanks WRESTLING BIOS for continuously saving my life each and every week!!! 💯😇🤘🏾🤟✊🏿✌️👌🏻
"The Grand Wizard" Hitman didn't have on a white hood, but The Anvil had his, just ask Virgil... 😬 What was Alex Wright doing sneaking up on Goldberg just to gently push him. Rightfully so he got throat punched 🤣🤣 "Sting can't dance" I don't remember Sting saying that he could dance, but Alex Wright can dance... Love this channel Wrestling Bios
I swear that I just got out of the shower and was like ... oh snap, it’s Reliving The War night ! I truly look forward to this weekly show like I did for Monday Nights when I was a kid. Thank you, brother, for all that you do. Best channel on RUclips 💯
Anybody else look forward to Thursday nights now as much as they did Monday nights back then?
Friday nights sky sports for me in england
@@woolybag1884 No dude. To relive the war. Silly.
I look forward to it more than I did for Thursday Thunder.

Hell yeah!!!!!!! No better way to agree to your comment then to use a Stone Cold catch phrase
Ahmed Johnson promos are the gift that keeps on giving, lol! Great work as usual.
Yeah I remember reacting to his promos the same way I did when ultimate warrior cut a promo. I'm not sure what he said but YEAH!

You saw Bret Hart’s last Raw match.

The deadpan "brother" to mock The Hulkster is gold.
Welcome to Thursday Afternoon Reliving the War. The best pro wrestling show on the RUclipss. Thanks again for another trip down memory lane.
I love how this Bret/Shamrock match was what the Survivor Series match with Michaels was supposed to be.
Absolutely love this series and been following you since before Episode 1. You definitely showcase IMO the best period in Pro Wrestling in a great way.
Actually got chills seeing him front row with the Wrestling Bios sign! What a god damn great, Jam-Up Guy!
Reliving the war is an amazing series on RUclips 👍
YOU DESERVE MORE CREDIT FOR YOUR EPIC EDITING! The timing and music in your intros is the best in the game.

Why were you playing with electricity while watching that
OMG I literally spit my water out at the Glacier spot! Anybody else think these episodes just continue to get better week by week?
The pure disdain 😂
Ken Shamrock really improved quickly. Really wish he had more of an impact during this time, but there was so much talent in this period.
Yea well he had already done pro wrestling before mma. But he was definitely talented.
Yea i agree but Bret Hart makes everyone look good the Hitman was as pro as you get.

Undoubtedly the best wrestling series on RUclips, time for some Horseman Business!
Watching this reminds me of how long DDP wrestled with his ribs taped it seemed like it was for 2 years
The fantasia clip in disco inferno's segment caught me off guard and I am dying 😂 fantastic stuff as always.
I would love to see a Saturday night main event series like this too.
I'm still pretty happy to be walking down memory lane again though.
Throw in shotgun Saturday night too and I am sold!
I'm have goosebumps because this is Bret's final match on Raw before Survivor Series.
