John M.Hay a relative of mine My Grandmother Jean Hay's Great Uncle. I'm in awe of his many great accomplishments,& service to our country,only now at 50 plus do I even care about politics,& often wonder what his advice & recommendations would be in reference to our lives in 2018. I am reading All the great prizes and am enjoying it emensly,not only for the historical treasures, but the family history as well.Thank You John Taliaferro👍🇺🇸
A bit of trivia concerning John Hay. America's first and longest operational military base, situated outside the continental United States was Camp John Hay located within Baguio City, Republic of Philippines. It served as a U S Army and US Air Force installation from 1903 until 1990 and was named in honor of him.

That is fascinating. I'm not sure if you refer to John Hay or John Taliaferro. I've read much about Hay, including this superb biography, and admire both gentlemen greatly.

taliaferro actually lost the '' g '' in america, the real name was tagliaferro, typical of the veneto. Also in cassius clay was found an ascending tagliaferro LOL
