Recording using Binaural techniques is crazy but awesome fun. I hope they actually bought the mic. They're using a neumann KU-100, they are like $8000.

Oh man, if you do like a choose your own adventure video series, with the viewer as the main protagonist, a camera mounted binaural mic head would be an amazing tool to use. Just imagine the actors trying to act with the head. You'd be able to plan out so many things around it, too.
I only regret that I have but one like to give to my countryman.

Colby Murphy Exactly, same here. I'm a sponsor as well so i can watch a lot of content early it's just that i prefer to watch it on RUclips because I don't want to miss anything. Their site is way to hard to keep track of everything and navigate. But, get your hopes up because they said that their design for the new website has finally taken a big leap forward and apparently it's looking really good (was mentioned on a podcast).

As soon as I saw this I basically took 10 minutes to prepare myself for this. Got a cup of tea, found a soft, cozy spot and was ready. I pressed play and they fucking just opened the door and I was already just so happy and excited that I needed to leave again to take another breather. So good.
You took 10 minutes to prepare for a 1 minute video? A door opening made you so excited that you had to stop the video to compose yourself? It sounds like you may have some serious issues.

I really do... I just love binaural recordings and think it's fascinating. That and couple it up with a company that I love just makes the experience that much better.
Also, in all honesty, I went to make myself tea because I wanted tea and initially I was going to start homework, so getting into a comfortable spot that I can sit for hours on end is fairly common.

I love the fact that RT is really getting into the binaural stuff. The fangirl in me would really love to have either Ryan or Jack do some sort of ASMR video. It also really excites me since I've been into ASMR for quite a while now and now that Burnie and Gav (from what I know) are also pretty into it, it's awesome :D
The audio was a bit choppy at some parts, but if you can clean that up then yeah I'd say it would be worth it to shoot video with binaural audio :)

Haha, this is pretty cool. I think it was on RT podcast where Burnie mentioned that AH would maybe do a vlog thing where all of them would wear go pros for a day. It would be hard to work out but with this it would be way cooler for them to do them a vlog thing but for each AH member separately (Lindsay, Matt, etc too!) and it could be like a 'day in the life of' sort of thing!
I liked how everyone was just staring at Burnie for a couple seconds like deer in the headlights

I love the idea behind this channel. I've always wanted videos like this, that are completely unplanned. It's like no one is performing, it's just them testing out random things that they're thinking of doing.
I know I'm super late to the comments but I love Ryan in this video. He goes from slightly annoyed to slightly curious to curious to need overload. The many emotions of Ryan. Gotta love it!

After seeing this, I must insist on a test run of Lads Action News with this mic/camera setup.
I really like this channel because it is a casual channel that doesn't have to follow the strict schedule and guidelines that RT does, but that doesn't make this video any less phenomenal.
I never thought I would get to experience Ryan running in a circle around me going "aaaaahhhhhhhhh", and now that I have, I am oddly satisfied that this mic could be a cool idea. If they are going to possibly use this for an immersion, then finding a way to isolate the "handling" noises and eliminate them would deeply lend itself to the illusion of being there.

That was pretty awesome and hope they use it not for all videos, but a set series we would expect to have this mic. I hadn't heard of it before this, but now Iam so fascinated I can't stop researching more about it.
This definitely seems to work. It was a bit quiet at times but other than that it worked well.
This is so awesome. It's kinda creepy at first. This is my first chance listening to something like this and I"m at work and I kept looking over my shoulder thinking someone was there. I had to quickly re-learn the AH voices too. I wish I could explain it better. But it was very cool.
