I just got my 2023 T7 so seeing this hurts my soul a bit however I am just barely tall enough for the standard version and I know this one is almost 2in higher so I feel a little better knowing I wouldn't be tall enough for the Extreme anyways.
@@Tim9999999991 Who's we? Because I do want cc and I'm not alone. Also, that bike gives you the appearance of simplicity, but it's not very simple... It's a modern bike.
@@johnnyblue4799 The Tenere 700 is the _only_ adventure bike without any fancy electronics (except for obligated EU ABS). So if you want these things, just pick _any_ other bike?
@@johnnyblue4799 I agree, this is why I ride a Husqvarna Norden 901! People adore the Tenere for it's different (oldskool) approach. So again, if you don't like that: buy _any_ other bike.
My personal opinion: this bike would be amazing if it had traction control. Im not asking for a bunch of electronics in this bike, just traction control and here is the reason: The bike is a more oriented off road bike which is still very capable of performing extremely well in road conditions. However, due to the size of the front suspension, it will loose grip and stability when aggressively cornering in normal road conditions and wet road conditions. (May also loose significant grip and adherence in many other surfaces) Lets keep in mind that bikes above 500cc may not always come with traction control because of the fact that the engine is not powerfull enough to be prompt to slippery scenarios. However, having a bike 650cc + like the T7 that brags of their all in one handling capabilities (off road and touring) without traction control, seems like something is not right for me. Im also an old school guy and appreciate yamaha for not including complex electronics in the T7, but, having a Traction control system, which by the way could be disconnected, would strongly increase the driving experience for begginers and intermediate riders which is the case for 95% users world wide. Just some final ideas; I understand that Yamaha treats this bike as their enduro dakar rally old school bike which is capable of managing any type of road conditions. But, since many people have being using this bike for touring purposes, making long mile journeys and even crossing countries, its time yamaha listens to their customer prayers and finally add the traction control to make the PERFECT BIKE OF ALL FREAKING TIMES. The whole point of adding traction control is to be able to take the bike to a sporty dynamic level when corner accelerating in roads and to feel safe when riding in wet conditions. This will improve the dynamic sensation of the bike while road traveling Let me know what you guys think about this feature
Seems like every bike with traction control and other bougie rider aids has a nanny switch that defaults back to the on position every time you turn off the key, requiring a complex sequence of menus and button presses to turn off again. This is unnaceptable. If a feature has an option to be disabled, it had better stay disabled until I choose to enable it again.
This is really a pleasure to watch, great bike, perfect timing for Yamaha to release this one...amazing

please sell this in the US. I stopped my order on the 700 due to the stock suspension being absolute garbage.
Would it be too extreme to ask for a cruise control on an adventure bike?
Extra electronics and complexity we dont want.
