To become a Police Officer in a Massachusetts Civil Service Police Department (www.mass.gov/service-details/...) you must successfully take and pass the Police Officer PAT. The PAT consists of several timed events designed to simulate the essential functions of the job and candidates must complete each event within the specified amount of time required. This instructional video is intended to familiarize candidates with the various events of the PAT to better assist in preparing for it.

Police Officer Medical & Physical Standards effective December 24, 2019
Ive seen various p.a.t.s and I must say that this one is definitely relative to what you would actually do in real life situations, takedowns/cuffing, footchases, and emergency lifesaving.
The dive through was legit
What a badass
This PAT looks to be one of the most realistic test.
I was in the army a few years ago and this is.. well, it still doesn't look hard at all.
This is only the first pt test, the cooper standards is the last one before the academy
you think slob pigs could do something even somewhat physically rigorous? Please.
Fire pat is so much harder
For real I did the old one to get on my department and it was a bitch at least the pd one mainly running
Anyone take this and the old one if so would you say this was harder or easier than the old police PAT?
At least with this test your in a relatively new facility and not a gym from 1915…but man, the training uniforms need serious updating…
This PAT is going to change to the P.O.S.T standards like Connecticut and Rhode Island correct?
They change some things in this PAT
Has anyone gone in the past month and a half to this obstacle course? And if you have or have you come down with COVID like I have?
Is this what all new police officers have to do in MA when applying to become a cop?
Affirmative
I just Applied for the Civil Service Exam so is this the new PAT ? I read it was going to be the 1 1/2 run, the 300 meter dash, with the sit ups, and push ups
Nah that’s the MPTC
Is the civil service test and PAT the same day
@@kaylarose560 no
@@mrchrisss8689 I may sound stupid but what is the mptc?
@@chrisblake1894 I hear it’s basically the police officer certification u get once u complete the police academy
Does anyone know how much the bag weighs
You ever find out?
@@billylopez6091 no I never got the answer but u will tell you.. don't try taking the test wearing a mask. You won't take enough oxygen in to get through.. take long easy strides in the run and you'll do fine.. you can jog it with longer strides as opposed to sprinting
Thanks for the tip
I am particularly impressed with some Fat guy timing them.
I haven't seen anything like this in years s lol,I'm Robert Marfeo Jr...
Bro it's torture cuffs.
Shorter wall is sweet 🤣🤣 cuz equality.
It’s much more updated now… lol
How is it now?
@@Temujin-he5yr no I’m saying that I did this almost 7 years ago and it was not like this video at all, so this video is the more updated version. I was just laughing because the old video was from like the 80s
Bruh
lmaooooooo
Where is the training for standing at a detail doing nothing? Pulling cars over for tiny infractions? Falsifying overtime ? Lying on police reports? Never seeing misconduct by a fellow officer...ever? Keep up the training 😂
Easiest PAT ever.
