Great review and comparisons man, you actually made some really good points and observations that I didn't even notice. But now that you pointed them out I can't unsee it (more fisheye than the micro V2). You hit it out of the park on this one!
Excellent presentation, gets to the point and will help when choosing which camera to buy, makes a refreshing change to see a review about the equipment as opposed to being about the reviewer who has been given free stuff.
On the micro V2 I switched the lens to a RunCam RC5L lens to get the full 16:9 image without any crop or vignetting and to get the best overall image size since the sensor is a native 16:9 sensor. But I’m wondering if there is a suitable lens to achieve the same on the nano V2 ? Did you come across any ?
Hello, I'm needing a new hdzero whoop vtx and don't know whether to get the whoop lite or V1. Also do you think nano V2 is better than Micro V2? Id like to see whoop lite with nano V2 combo if whoop lite is a more durable board than whoop V1. Please any comments are welcome.
Great review! If only more FPV video are formatted as such rather than aimless flying around. The screen capture of the camera was awesome it highlights how diff the camera process the video. Great work and hope to see more of your content soon. Was wondering if weight is not an issue and i should pick nano v2 or micro v2 and you answered it all. Awesome stuff!
I just bought a setup for HDZero and am pretty pumped about it. I got two micro cameras but if I find I love HDZero I may convert my smaller 2” builds and am probably looking at the Nano camera next
No, I don’t think it’s in any kits. Best bet is to buy it separately and choose whichever vtx fits your build best. Don’t forget a mipi cable and antenna.
They’re very similar, but the micro V2 has less distortion on the edges. For a 7”, I’d probably go with the Micro V2 since the frame can probably fit a 19mm camera.
Great Video, so happy to see how good hdz already is. After being finally able to fly again after my accident my f.... fatshark hdo2 let me down, so I am badly waiting for the goggles!
The nano v2 lens gets rid of the distortion but keeps the FOV similar and makes flying way more enjoyable IMO. The main US FPV stores have it. I'd be curious to see it on the V2 nano camera
How do you change those white flashes of static white pixels to black pixels? If there's no legitimate information in a pixel, it should be black, not white That white sh1t could cause somebody and epileptic seizure while flying. Do you know how to do that. I find a white strobing light right into my face very disconcerting. There are goggles out there in fact that display static as black, not white, so this is not some weird thing to ask for. Also, it ruins your DVR recording for anything cinematic (if that's what you're into ).
End of September if everything goes without a hitch, October in your hands realistically. Skyzone should have their HDZero goggles out before that I’m thinking, I assume… Cobra X V3? as they have been working on it for a few months now, might be the end of this month (August 2022)??? Noone has a 100% timeline, but this should be accurate. Hope this helps.
@@ATXAirborne Ryan’s Emax video first… then I got confirmation from two other sources when I started digging. It was new to me… other than knowing Skyzone was working on another version of the Cobra X as I have the X2s… and I put two and two together. Edit: thank you for all you do! Love your content!
Excellent review and comparison. I don't think anyone could have done it better!
agreed
Great video, a lot of effort went into this and it’s a super useful reference for folks! Thanks man!

Id like to see a comparison of nano V2 and Micro V2.
HDZero is getting more exciting each day!
Awesome review mate, look forward to putting this into some builds!
This is a really great video! Tons of useful compares and info all packed into a short video considering how much is here. 👍👍👍
Nano V2 cam
Getting ' Repower vtx ' when I select 4:3 aspect ratio in cam settings. Unsure what its asking of me. When I reboot its the same msg
Hi can you show us how to change out a hdzero Camera with the mipi cable.
Fantastic video Daniel. As always.
Appreciate the effort put into it for us 👍👊

Awesomeness! I'll be picking some up for sure!
Here's a question. Are all the hdzero cameras and vtx compatible with eachother? Could one pair the whoop vtx with the nano v2 camera? 🤷
Yes, they’re all compatible. I was using a whoop vtx for most of my nano v2 testing.
@@ATXAirborne Ohhh, thank you so much!
Hi does the nano v2 comes in a combo with a vtx, I haven’t seen it yet thanks

Great vid brother THanks!!!!!
Would all the HDZERO cameras and antennas that's used with the hd zero vtx work with the new goggles when they come out
Yes, everything from HDZero will be compatible with the goggles when they come out!
Is the 16:9 full setting available on the micro v2 cameras also?If so will it require new firmware ?
It will be available on the micro v2 as soon as new VTX firmware is released.
@@ATXAirborne I like the round full screen effect it produces. It seems more natural.
@@ATXAirborne Is the firmware available yet for full 16;9 setting?
Thx for the review.
Can you tell me how move txt of the osd hdzero (eq:VLQ) to right side ?
In my view i have the VLQ at the top left corner….
Thx
This sounds like you may need to update your firmware. You can find the latest at www.hd-zero.com. Make sure to update both the VRX and VTX.

Merci
That's what I thought...
I try not to update when it works well...currently on rev26012022. I will think about it...
Awesome review, thanks 😊 👍🏻

Looks great! In the comparison with the original orange Runcam did it have the upgraded lens?
Yes, I have the glass lens on the orange Runcam.

Yep this looks great, I’m going to get one of these and put it into my crux35.
Crux 35 already comes in Hdzero version! Now you have me wondering which cam they used on it tho.
@@nyclassic4ever130 They use they original Nano which can only do 16:9.

Compared to the Digisight v3, no it isn't the best Cam for hdzero. More functional but not the overall best Cam for hdzero.
