    I always damp down the floor again with a mister, it helps the leveler product to spread and doesn't effect the adhesion.

      Better off to just use the primer. The primer stops the material from absorbing into the floor so wetting the floor in my opinion isn't of any benefit.
      Mixed properly the material is thin and will level itself with minimal moving with a trowel.
      When I install this type of material I use either a 2 ft 4 ft or 6 ft piece of angle aluminum as a screed.
      You mark the points at which you wish the leveler to end and you make circles in the deepest area so you know where most of the materials should be poured, once you pour the material you can "smoosh" it around a bit with a regular concrete finishing trowel and then go back with your screed and slowly and carefully drag it from one end of the depression to the other end of the depression and let it flatten out by itself. That's why it's called self leveler. Cold water slows the set time and makes it much easier to work with. You will have more time to work or play with the material to get it where you want it.
      Overall it's a great video and I think it helps a lot of people.
      I might add one thing. Do not overfill an area because this stuff does not grind off easily. It's a very hard concrete material.

    Do you have to worry about the drywall absorbing the concrete leveler?

      Drywall in my case did not come in contact with floor so not a concern. Hope this helps.

    I found out polymer modified cement with water also works. But i need to paint small concrete projects the next day. How long till it can be profiled, then primed, or painted?

    What about vynil planks flooring?

      I really like vinyl plank flooring! The laminate was free so that was part of my choice.

      One thing I would like to recommend is not to buy the ultra-thin vinyl planking or lvp. being send materials also means that the locking mechanism is going to be much smaller than a thicker product such as Cortec or Provenza. On these products the tongue and groove or locking mechanisms are much stronger because they are thicker or beefier. On the ultrasim materials I've seen the locking mechanisms break especially if the floor is not perfectly flat.

      @@randywl8925 what would be minimum thickness you suggest to buy for lvp if the floor is not level?

      @@randywl8925 because my floor is not level and i am not planning to do it as they are charging 3500$ to level the floor?

      @randywl8925 3 года назад +1

      @@Rpp92898 it's been a while and I don't remember all the details. If the floor is uneven such as high spots and low spots then those need to be fixed or not put that type of floor in.
      Flat and level are two different things. If the floor is perfectly flat but the room is 1 inch lower on one side than the other, you shouldn't worry.
