    Just got the signiture, and was looking for a wireless charger that was flat to the table, so this is great! Thanks

    I have the Voyager and the new Paperwhite. I wish they would just bring out an update on the Voyager, it was pretty much perfection. How about a review on your watches too? I see some nice timepieces being kept on charge there in the background.

      You’re not the first person to mention the watches! I might do some reviews of them, but feels a bit off topic for a book channel.

    I have the Signature Paperwhite and the wireless charger. I've only used the charger once, so don't have a lot to say yet. It's on the pricey side, but it seems to work just fine. I think charging the Kindle every night harms the battery life.

      @CriminOllyBlog  2 года назад

      That’s a good point actually, you might be right! I think they do recommend running it most of the way down occasionally anyway.

      The best practice for charging lithium-ion batteries is to keep them between 30% and 90%.

      @@CriminOllyBlog Can i ask why we have to run the battery to 0% I bought pw10 a while ago and i usually charge it when it reaches 70% cuz it took 4 hrs for it to fully charge

      @CriminOllyBlog  2 года назад

      @@liacaburian2092 I think I was incorrect when I said that. Another commenter has advised that best practice is to keep it charged between 30 and 90% - so your habit of charging at 70% is spot on.

    Hey Olly great video. I have a kindle oasis but I find it keeps me up at night when reading in bed. I was wondering how the warm light feature on the new paperwhite was on the eyes... ?

    • @CriminOllyBlog
      @CriminOllyBlog  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! Yes the warm light is definitely a bit less harsh and more relaxing to read off at bedtime.

      I prefer physical books, but the kindle is so convenient- and also a great way to cheaply try new authors.

      I also enjoy physical books but it doesn’t remove the enjoyment of reading for me the pros are it’s light I have a little stand and page turner and can read hands free and I have more shelf space for physical copies and kindle unlimited is awesome.

      @@CriminOllyBlog The Kindle community is vast and ravenous. When a new one comes out...I search for every review/comparison available.
      I'm going to try to check out your book reviews as well. I don't have alot of time to waste on bad books. So...rec videos are welcomed as well.
