ABOUT THE OXFORD UNION SOCIETY:
The Union is the world's most prestigious debating society, with an unparalleled reputation for bringing international guests and speakers to Oxford. It has been established for 189 years, aiming to promote debate and discussion not just in Oxford University, but across the globe.
he is the most humble man in the fashion world in a world that encourages you to be an elitist he is a better person that that ! he is also so funny, eccentric and charming I can hear him for days!
I love Andre because where he comes from is still at his core. No matter how French sounding he may speak or expensive his garment,he comes from a place of turning struggle into success and I love it.
Beautifully said.
Lady in Red Mohair Coat: To be observed and so generously congratulated by Andre Leon Talley on what you're wearing has got to be transformative ☺️. I could tell by your spin 👍✔️.
I'm obsessed with Andre Leon Talley, he's amazing!
Dude's dead
Haha... What a honor to be complimented like that by Andre. She probably had a major ego for a week after Andre's compliments....lol!
His enthusiasm was infectious. That is what this multi-billion dollar business is about: the selling of enthusiasm, confidence, and élan. As usual, his discernment and critical eye were spot on. That girl really did look fabulous. RIP ALT.
How amazing would you feel if Andre complimented you on what you were wearing? He was simply wonderful. We miss you Andre! xx
Oh he is just so lovely and educated it's so refreshing!
Mr Talley, you're the best!
I can listen to Andre all day.
Wow! Wash not expecting that to be his first question or the answer to it... What a perfect and timely answer to that question! We will share this clip on our FB page, send it to our current/future interns and embed it on our the intern page of our website. Thank you for posting this!
I wish Mr. Tally was my best friend
I love Andre
i love him
Andre is the gawd
Love you forever Andre Rip💔
im surprised from andre, he is a person that i dream to meet such as anna wintour.
I feel sorry for the young people don't have parents that pay their bills whilst interning for that year. What about the kids that don't have parents that can pay their expenses. I can only imagine the hours they have to work whilst interning it's not like they can get a part time job to make ends meet.
I know this comment is old but yes, interning for a year without pay may be noble but it's not cost effective not liveable for most of colleges aged and post grad people, especially if you're in a big fashion city like New York!
That's not the point. The point was to just get a job, get the experience and work under someone to learn from them, if you want a career in fashion. He used the "no pay" example just to explain the important of getting experience in the fashion industry, even if that means getting coffee or picking up pencils
Andre is from the poor part of the south,do you really think his parents “paid his way” into the fashion industry? No,but because he was PASSIONATE about it he was willing to sacrifice in order to succeed. There 24hrs in a day,if working in the Fashion industry is your goal in life, for those 6months you may have to manage interning AND job,ppl do it every day. He is speaking more to the sacrifice than just working for free.
thalrg22 exactly
Did you not hear what he said? he was living in the shitty YMCA making that sacrifice to get where he wanted to be!
He needs a show or something!
wisdom that applies to all industries
Talley never used the label ‘gay’ but essentially confirmed that he was bisexual and open to romantic relationships with anyone.
Well, he’s just fantastic.
