as your new task in Sega Corporation you have been given Prototype of Sonic The Hedgehog 2. but few days before you got that prototype some people went missing and nobody knows what happened. some people say that Game has something to do with it.

Personally, I would have swapped out Knuckles for Amy seeing that this is technically a Sonic 2 prototype, and the original game and CD were said to be developed at the same time.

Ima list my own anomalies here bcz why not (DO NOT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY PLEASE)
- West Side Island wasn’t on the title screen yet.
- Emerald Hill would be named Green Hill
- Knuckles didn’t exist yet, but Metropolis did.
- Wing Fortress didn’t exist yet.
- The music for Emerald Hill is more closer to the final one, or it could’ve used Dave’s OST. IDK how you could emulate that, though.
- High quality music, but low quality sound effects.
- There should be blue near the water in EHZ’s background, but it’s purple.
- Why would the chunks be so broken? They worked in 8 by 8 TILES, not huge 256 by 256 chunks.
- There’s no parallax scrolling
- Samples took up a huge amount of memory. There’s a 3 second long sample. That would’ve meant only a seventh of memory was left. Let’s count up all the samples in the game.. more closer to 40% actual data.
- Why would there be a huge effort on blood if it’s just a 1991 prototype? STI! DAMN YOU!
- Why the same repeated chunks?
- Aquatic Ruins zone? That didn’t exist yet. You could use something like Olympus or Emerald Isle as a replacement.
- What’s with the fucked up zone music? Shouldn’t it be perfectly normal? (Now that I think about it, it should be closer to Masa’s demo.)
- Again, with the low effort chunks placement. This is starting to make me suspect this wasn’t made with a Genesis. oh well
- DANG THAT LAUGH! THERE’S ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF MEMORY LEFT AHHHH
- Screens don’t glitch like that. It would more swivel around fast or move the tiles
around.
- Are you kidding me? Burning ruins? Just like what you did with Emerald Hill! SoOoOoOoOoO oRIgInAl! Sarcasm.
- Again, with the same stupid glitch effect.
- Seriously, why are the jingles so low quality?

I really need to be honest, no hate to the creators ofc, but honestly this isnt really as good as people say, some parts feel lacking and rushed, specially some of the bgs and forgrounds, it looks like that after emerald hill they got lazy. like im really sorry but the whole bg and fg change in the knuckles secret ending looks so bad, same thing with the cloud animations in the eggman zone (this one can be excused since it is a lost prototype). I think tails' had potential to have an better design then the one we saw, they could have messed more with it tbh, this isnt a hate comment by any means if your wondering, just wanting to share my opinion, sorry if I sounded rude.

These are all valid criticisms. I would love to see this game get a PC Port-styled remake. Maybe replacing Knuckles with Amy like what AwesomeGamer101 said, not only for variety, but it also makes more sense since CD and 2 were released in close proximity.
Imagine getting a job for a play tester and you play the game for a while just to get sucked into it that sounds terrifying like your in reality now you're trapped in the body of a three feet tall hedgehog that runs fast💀

I think the idea of Sonic looking for Tails instead of it normally would be is a very creative idea. I think the document at the beginning was also creative aswell, it sells the whole "playtester" thing. And I wonder why Sonic is named Charlie...?

It’s trying to be like SONIC 2011 with Alan, Dave and Paul being trapped in Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik.

I'm assuming by Knuckles/James reaction after that Sonic Exe disappeared that was supposed to be JC's Sonic.Exe a.k.a Patient Zero a.k.a the actual original (no hate towards 2011 X he's cool)

This is an extremely interesting concept, and very well made at that! With some reworked sprites, better design choices, and maybe a few less platforming sections, this could really take off! Excited to see what comes of this game

@SunDoesStuff There's also a secret Sonic ring. At Blood Hill, at the red spring, go left through the wall, and you'll see a ring. The rest is a secret. 😃

By the way, at the Sonic Blood Hill, go to the ledge before the part where you're unable to jump. Instead, go back, and THEN go through the wall.

Theory: This game shows the chronology of the events of the murders in 1991. Dima (presumably) left himself and decided to kill his homies (PRESUMABLY!!!). First, he hanged Charles (for unknown reasons), then dismembered James's body into pieces, and then killed a witness named Matthew. Whoever made this game is, in fact, a religious witness to this asshole and at the same time, a skilled game developer. I hope this witness was not killed by this maniac and that He has already been jailed for life.
