I compiled this suite using music extracted from the game. Left off the intro from the OST version because I use those soundfiles in another track.
"You've been a champion of the Krogan people, a friend of Clan Urdnot.... and a brother/sister to me! To every Krogan born after this day, the name Shepard will mean 'Hero'!"
*RIGHT CLICKS*
"Now, let's show them why!"
Wow xD
I always save Wrex, I always save the data, Urdnot Bakara is awesome 😎, and I always choose to cure the genophage. Mordin goodbye and may you relax and study plenty of seashells in heaven 😢
I miss the old lizard. He always made me smile
@@Xellius13 me too!
this song actually made me cry today. Mass Effect is the BEST sci-fi experience out there. ever.
what about me? I am not the best?
"You can sit here and fight like animals like Krogan have always done... or you can band together and fight the one enemy you were born to destroy. I choose to fight. Who will stand with me?"
MiyuChan Isn't it "you can argue here and let old wounds fester like the Krogan have always done"? or is it dependant on your choices in the game?
WhyBeUgly
Yeah, thats correct. My memory flaked on me a little there. Its been a while since I did a full playthrough.
I will
"I will!"
MiyuChan "I don't want to regret curing the genophage, do you want this or not?"
"Genophage cured... Krogan free. New beginning, for all of us."
Those lines hit me hard.
"Had to be me. Someone else could've gotten it wrong."
A dirge sung for one Mordin Solus, whose tortured conscience would not let him rest until amends were made. The character was fortunate; few real-life inventors of devastating technologies ever get a chance to repair the devastation.
AlienatingPredation It really wasn't that devastating. The genophage was to make up for the high Krogan birth rate, and it did so without going overboard. BioWare was just looking for more feels, and they did so in a rather contrived manner.
Of course, it wasn't nearly as contrived as the Shroud blowing up for no apparent reason. Seriously, when did the Reapers place the explosives? It was such bullshit...ugh
*****
You're right. The genophage wasn't all that devastating. But I like moral dilemmas--even ridiculous ones--so I suspended my disbelief and went along for the ride.
Guys, the shroud blew up because of a sabotage made by the STG long ago to make sure that what Mordin and the others were planning couldn't be done. The characters involved said this multiple times in the game. Pay attention. It wasn't a Reaper explosive.
Jose Suarez
I _did_ listen to what the characters said, but it seems that you didn't.
The sabotage only affected the temperature of chemicals to be dispersed. When you meet Mordin in the shroud, he says, "Yes. Readings at lab suggest temperature malfunction. Could affect cure viability. Need to adjust settings manually."
After Shepard responds, Mordin says, "No. Temperature variance could destroy cure. Time running out Have to go up."
It it made a abundantly clear that the sabotage isn't the cause of the destruction of the shroud.
Besides, if the sabotage was what caused the shroud to blow up it would have been destroyed years ago, when the STG sabotaged it.
***** But the shroud was already lit on fire and blowing up just before Mordin went up to the control room, hence why Shepard wants to stop him regardless of moral disposition. Besides, if it was a reaper explosive, that too makes sense because we should all know how fast reapers work. The destroyer had already been there, near the shroud, sending out wave after wave of huskified troops for several hours before it had to fight Kalros.
One of my favorite parts in the game. When Wreav and Wrex are arguing about killing Mordin, Eve walks out and yells "Enough!" The feels at that moment was epic.
I cry so fucking hard during the final part of this song. RIP MORDIN
Most emotional moment in the game for me. The krogan joining together to face the reapers and putting aside there differences to stand as one. With this music playing just crazy epic
Here after the remaster. Im 21 now and i still cried. 12 when i first played.
I ended up going through the original games backwards 3,2,1. When I first played through 3 and got to this part it was indeed strong. Though it had even more impact once going through it again after playing the previous 2 games.
"Every time we've talked about this before, you defended the Genophage! Hell! I've had to talk you into saving Maelon's Data! How can you change your mind now?!"
"I MADE A MISTAKE!"
There were two points in ME3 where I really felt that all my choices came together to produce something: the Quarian/Geth resolution on Rannoch and the genophage resolution. Personally, I'd put the former above the latter (disagreeing with a couple people below), but only barely.
Shepard: I'm sorry.
Mordin: I'm not. Had to be me..... someone else might have gotten it wrong.
Personally, I felt the endings were fine. Everyone seems to want some flowery ending where Shepard magically survives, but the game is trying to give you an air of war, a feeling that, no matter what, there will be death. The fact that Shepard sacrifices himself/herself at the ending to save the entire galaxy from the reapers, even the people who hated him/her, says an incredible amount about his/her courage and force of will.
TheTyrantDragon if you think that sheperd's death was what caused the backlash on the ending you are sadly mistaking
There wasnt even a damn final boss, no harbinger fight
@@mattb4072 Exactly. The first one had Saren and then the cybernetic nightmare he turns into after Sovereign possesses his corpse. The second one had the half finished human/reaper. The third had fuck all, even though Harbinger was teased since 2 as being not only this big badass reaper who knew that Shepard was a threat, but who was also the mastermind who led the Collectors.
@@amannamedsquid313 I mean did it NEED a final boss? Imo no. Its cliché imo
@@zelohendricks51 Maybe not, but by that logic, Mass Effect 3 didn't NEED to exist at all. Because trilogies are cliché...
Best track & mission of the entire game. No other mission I've played throughout Mass Effect 3 was as grand, adventurous and rewarding. Whatever choices the player makes at this point, it undoubtedly is one of the most powerful parts of the game. Can't help but water up when I hear that solo voice...
I never cured the genophage until I played Mass Effect 1 and 2 and met Wrex... Wreav was such a fucking liability but Wrex? God bless his warring soul
good to hear that, or i would smack you with my head.
I'm just amazed that you even played three before playing 1 & 2.
Gah! Well done then. I love the transition to the music that plays as Mordin ascends the shroud tower. That music is soooo epic and it fits perfectly at the end. I wish this music was actually on the soundtrack, but I have not heard it and I've listened to the entire soundtrack numerous times.
I remember this chanel having a different name...years ago when I first listened to your stuff.
Thank you for this version. Truly epic! :D
I made the extintion of the Krogans only once in my gameplays of Mass Effect. I wish I never did that.
Mordin inspired Krogans with despair in the form of a genophage, but Mordin restored hope and cured the genophage. When I saw this and that Mordin of the Salarians gave his life for the Krogans race in order to atone for his guilt and the guilt of his people, I didn't just have tears, I just cried.
May Mordin soul find peace in another world.
Yes, entirely agreed. Best track and mission in the game. Long live the krogan!
For Krogans, for Wrex.... For Mordin , the salarian who saves the Krogan.... We will never forget you my friend... Farewell.... (crying a lot...)
Incredible work DTaylor. Thank you!
Commander John Shepard mean so much to me and this music seriously brings him to life for me. I love it so dearly.
Rest in peace,Mordin Solus…
This Will Always Be My Favourite ME3 Mission .... Still Hate That To Save The Krogan I Lose Mordin , I Love Mordin ...
A new future for Krogan, A new future for all of us...
I agree completely. Come to think of it, I've always wondered what the Quarians etc. think when the Geth suddenly start blowing sparks... And EDI, poor Joker. :(
Genophase cured, Krogan free, new beginning, for all of us.
"My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian...I am the very model of-----". BOOOOM!!
:'(
"Genophage cured. Krogan free. New beginning…for all of us."
Epic soundtrack!
Good Job then.. it's even more Epic now ;)
Thank you!
A high enough ems score, and I mean REALLY HIGH, should give us a Refusal ending where we win...but barely. It should come with a high cost. Maybe the loss of Palaven or even Earth. Because without the Crucible that might be what iit takes.
wdym lol. That already exists. If you have over 7800 total war assets and choose destroy option then shepard lives
Perfect song for a funeral!
I think people were just wishing for a deeper ending than basically flipping a switch and saving the universe but getting killed in the process.
:D Gives me the chills :D
the Quarian-geth war is pretty good too
Why is this extended version not available on the soundtrack? The soundtrack version is 3:29. This one is 6:49 and has the music of Mordin's death...this version is epic compared to the soundtrack version.
Don't insult Vega, he's funny and sincere character. I liked him especially after watching Paragon lost
yeah agree with you he went through some shitstorm too... İts too bad the intel he saved turns out to be pointless since shepard already got the job done... İmagine the guilt he has for not saving those colonist... Comparing him with jacob hahaha Vega is miles ahead better
What happened to 5 thru 10?
I kind of wish that mordin's death was on the soundtrack instead of future for the krogan...
Shame on Bioware for nor releasing Mordin's death theme. Though just like ME2, my guess is they will have 3-4 more albums out after the DLC release.
Are we enemies or are we so much moor then enemies once a man said that we may be Enemies but we can became friends no mater what happen in the paste we can rice agents it no mater what.
The books go WAY into depth with Kai Leng, namely Ascension and Retribution; he's such a badass.
God. Is it so much to ask for a Refuse Ending where the good guys win? Or maybe, a destroy ending where the Geth and EDI live. *SIGH* The part where you save the Krogan and bring peace to the Quarian-Geth struggle was amazing... everything else is just... MEH.
My only criticism of this is that I feel like the theme starting on track 13 at 1 :07 should have been on this track at 4:36 of this track- would have included the expository scene with Mordin before he went up and died, but that would have made track 13 a lot shorter. This one isn't super long, so perhaps 13 and 14 could have been merged into one? Just thinking out loud, it's hardly a big deal. Love it either way.
What I _especially_ hated was how they made it sound like the krogan give birth to live young. You know, with Eve woefully carrying on about her first stillborn child.
Oh, boo fucking hoo. It's not like it gestated inside you!
Just lay another goddamn egg! If that one comes out stillborn, lay another. And so on and so forth.
***** But she could lay 1000 eggs and still have no live children. A young krogan means the world for the parents. Who knows how devastating it must be for them to witness stillborn after stillborn?
I actually find the live stillbirth even more cruel because you see it before it dies, the hope gets to build further before you get crushed
feco91 They would become desensitized to it. I literally rolled my eyes at Eve whining about her first stillborn.
racemylife1 What do you mean, "actually?" You say that like it comes as a surprise.
_Of course,_ a stillborn live birth would be more devastating.
***** Could you clarify?
You always defended the genophage......why start now?
"I MADE A MISTAKE!!!.....I made a mistake...". The sheer emotion and sincerity of remorse Mordin felt about his past no science no rambling...just penance.
would you mind putting on a download link? :D
what does the FBI or the president have to do with video games?
